Awful. I won't be watching the super bowl anyway, and this is a big part of the reason why. I wish football players would just play football, and Jeep would just build vehicles. I don't need to be force fed their opinion on anything other than that.
As long as the engine isn't being starved for oil, the generally accepted method for cleaning up a sludged engine is to use a newer oil (API SN, for example), and let that oil break down the sludged oil over multiple short oil change intervals (500-1k miles). This is intended to remove the...
Can you explain more about the difference in part numbers? I have a speaker that the dealership and JeepCares can't seem to figure out. Does one of the part numbers have a known flaw?
Thanks!
Here's the issue I have with MBI; I'm now locked into my auto insurance carrier, or I lose my service contract. I routinely shop to make sure I'm getting a good deal on auto insurance. However, if I purchase MBI, I either can't leave if they raise rates, or lose my mechanical coverage if I do...
Here is another option for you. Schrader is the OEM supplier, and I purchased and installed these with no issues at all. These are true JT sensors, and will work with the Selectable Tire Fill Alert (STFA) that JL or most aftermarket sensors do not support.

Agree. I don't think wheel weight is given nearly enough thought by most people. I read your post yesterday about the Kanati tires and was impressed with your insistence on factoring tire weight into your choice. The rotational mass is a significant factor in how it will feel when you're driving.
This is where a gear ratio calculator is helpful. The effective ratio for 4.10's with 37" tires is 3.49, and 3.40 for 38" (assuming you start with a Max Tow and stock wheels). My Overland with 3.73 and 35" tires would have an effective ratio of 3.42, which is almost identical.
This is a great tool to see what different tire combinations will have on your effective gear ratio;

It obviously doesn't give you seat of the pants feel, but it will at least put some real numbers to what you might want to do.
Let us know how it turns out. My tire size adaptation was spot on to GPS, but when I tried the ESS disable adaptation, it didn't work at all. I found the JSCAN support to be lackluster.
Updated my tire size recently, and the JSCAN app had a pop up saying to turn off the vehicle and close the drivers door for 5 minutes to complete the adaptation. I assume you saw this pop up and have performed this step?

If nothing else I would recommend checking Carvana before trading it in. They pay very well for late model Jeeps in the Spring/Summer, and their process could not be easier. I got more from Carvana on my JLU than I could have got from a private sale.
