Yes and no.
My 38” Milestar Patagonias fits under the heat shield and it isn’t hitting the tow hitch area, but on the sides….
it is over the frame of the Jeep. Simply too wide. But it still kinda sortaworks with one side over the frame. Doesn’t look great but it does fit in the spare

Thanks a bunch. Super helpful.
I’ll try to stuff in my 38” and see if it works. Another forum member on a different thread mentioned that their Milestar Patanogia 38” fit with your read track bar when aired down to 26” psi.
Thanks.
Good to know there is a bunch of clearance left over with a 37” spare and the MetalCloak Rear Track Bar.
Fingers crossed my 38” Milestar Patagonia XT will fit with the Metal Cloak rear track bar.
Will post some pics once it is done.
Thanks. That makes a lot of sense.
I think MC only released their Rear Track Bar with a “bent” in it to accommodate larger tires in the spare housing 2 years ago?? So when you bought yours, what was available back then was the straight rear track bar.
Would love to know if anybody...
Thanks for sharing. Quick question re your MetalCloak rear track bar that you installed in 2021.
Was it a straight rear track bar? Or one with that comes bent (to accommodate a larger tire in the spare housing)?
Reason for my question is because I got a set of 5 38” Patagonia Milestar...
Any reason you went with the Clayton Track Bar over the Metal Cloak Track Bar?
FYI. My lift kit, skids and Diff covers are all Metal Cloak so am leaning towards sticking with Metal Cloak for the Rear Track Bar.
But happy to switch over to the Clayton if there were solid reasons u chose...
Thanks for sharing.
Two quick questions:
1. How do you like the MC Rear Track Bar so far?
2. What size spare do you have?
Am hoping you say a 38” spare. If so, what brand and model?
FYI. Am putting 38” Patagonia Milestar XT (MT backorder for 3mths) and having a MetalCloak 3.5” lift...

Thanks for sharing. Gonna research the size of MT Deegan 38” vs the Patagonia Milestar XT I purchased.
Quick question re storing it. Did you have to air it down? Or was it able to fit fully inflated?
Just bought 38” Patagonia Milestar XTs (cos the Milestar II M/T are backordered for 3mths).
Was researching which vertical spare tire mounts to get and found this thread.
Can u let me know what 38” tire you have that you were able to mount in the spare tire location?
I might have to try it...
Thank you very much. The pic and your descriptions were both super helpful.
I do need the cargo space so am trying to decide if I should go with a vertical spare tire mount. Sadly that also requires drilling.
Added complication for me is that my Gladiator is parked in my garage is such a...
can u share some pics? Just got my 38” tires and will be getting a MetalCloak 3.5” short arm lift kit installed.
Am aware that the spare carrier can fit a 37” max and prefer driving with a spare at all times.
Already got a bottle jack so I am good with that. Just need to figure out a...
Am excited that it shipped and is on its way to my house. Can’t wait.
Last campsite had crappy cell reception.
Would blow the other Adult leaders when I pull out a TV and live stream a college football game at the next scout campout. 😂😂😂
Any updates on his thread? Btw. Super helpful thread.
I just got my 38” tires (putting a MetalCloak 3.5” short arm lift kit). And am hoping to mount the spare in my truck bed.
Don’t want to drill holes so looking for suggestions. Maybe regular ratchet straps to the 4 D-rings already...
Found this YouTube video comparing both. Super helpful.
I am an idiot when it comes to all thing electricity and mechanical. I am leaning towards the mini given half the power consumption and ease of powering it.
Thanks for clarifying. I assume the mini is smaller. Which is great for backpacking.
But if I need it for just around the campsite (or I can GMRS call the person at the campsite to make an emergency / 911 call), is the standard better in some sense?
I assume bigger and heavier so not great...
FYI. I found the microphone mounts that I can stick to the overhead Mille panel.

Still looking for a way to attach the mount that comes with the Uniden505 to the overhead Molle.
please send me the link if you can
re the Midland 575, I don’t know if the mount that...
Thank you so much. Super helpful.
$349 one time / up front cost ain’t bad. Plus $50/mth or $600 a year for WiFi is workable
FYI. We had an emergency situation whereby we had to call 911, and we had no cell coverage. This starlink would have been super helpful back then.
Plus we go...
