I cant see waving at all the jeep models. Someone who bought a renegade or grand Cherokee I don't think they bought them for the "lifestyle". My basic rule is if the doors and top come off I'll wave. This includes old branco's, Defenders and FJ40's.
Funny this is the most common vehicle a Jeep is cross shopped against is a ...........boat. Recreational vehicles. I bet a vette isn’t too far down that list.
I was pretty psyched to cross shop them with the Gladiator. I’ve always been a Ford guy, had a 02 Lighting, 92 SHO manual, SVT Contour, 03 Marauder, after a while I gave up, been in the Jeep almost a year now, still no Bronco :headbang:
Lol little Easter egg. I was trying to find a way to darken the pic a little in 3D paint and the clip art was there, thought it would be fun to see if someone noticed. Good eye lol
Well I guess I'm not very sensitive to it. I've had my gladiator almost a year now, and sitting in my office right now I cant for the life of me remember if I have auto dim or not. If I have manual I guess that doesn't bother me, and if I have the auto dim I guess it works well lol.
Is Ford ever going to start making the things though? It seems like you could just have the best of both worlds. Lease the Gladiator, and when the lease is up reserve a Launch Edition Branco. You'll probably only be without a vehicle for a month or 2.
Interested in how the wind buffets with that setup. TBH I get annoyed hearing it the little strap that releases the rear seats to fold when topless on the highway. I went without it on the highway to work this week, surprised me how much I heard that, can’t image them hitting the cover, but...
I’m about to say something wildly unconstructive and useless but I can’t help myself. There is nothing on this earth that would ever keep me from leaving that place. I hope your wife changes her mind. Took me a decade to get mine out of the north. Maw Maw always said If you don’t have...
I was thinking the same. I hope if my kids are ever in that position that I have the financial liquidity to buy it from them and either sell it back once they can afford it, or get it back for free when I die lol. I totally understand not being able to though.
I went doors/top off for the first time on the highway this morning on the way to work. It was a joy. The thing that I never expected was all the smells. I had no idea so much was going on around my vehicle, and rarely were the smells good lol. If you are comfortable driving with no mirrors...
I havent read the whole chain but ill drop in my .$02. For what the JT is its incredibly priced IMHO. The Wranglers are basically the same price on all trims and you get a lot more from the JT. If you do plan to wheel it at all the fullsize will be worse in everyway. Unless you go Raptor...
Lol well if that doesn’t count, the wheel well is in wrangler position, where it matches the door contour. Seeing it like this I’m glad that strange area on the Gladiator is there. Having the rear fender with the rear door doesn’t translate well to a bed hanging off the back.
