Well I don't either, but it does give piece of mind of knowing your spare is maintained and serviceable. If you still have the original spare and have 200k on the vehicle its definitely dry rotted, and probably flat.
The raising and lowering I would wager would make this questionable. When I was behind the counter we wouldn't charge Wranglers anything extra as its right there, just zip it off, but on JT I would upcharge labor as its going to take several minutes more to do than a standard rotation.
You are 100% correct sir. The biggest offenders I have seen are Jeep/LT style tires that new have very deep treads to start. On a Mud Terrain style tire you may have 14/32nds new, yet is serviceable down to 4/32. The bigger the variation the bigger the issue, and there's a lot of room for...
Because it will create alignment/pull situations. Just think, one side has a different number of revolutions for the same distance traveled. It wouldn't be drastic but I have seen customers vehicles where this has happened creating a pull to the side of the older tire that requires constant...
Thank you sir! I take a lot of pride in that stock set, my own refinish with my own custom mixed "Russian red" stain. I do want a bakelite magazine for sure, but have you seen the cost on the 74's ?! A hard pill to swallow when the 47 is so much cheaper lol.
I have spring compressors, It took longer on the one side that I used the compressors for. The time wrenching the compressors on each side of the spring and compressing just wasn't worth the squeeze especially when you then have to compress the new spring if changing them like I did on the...
I have a bit of a problem. When I moved across town this wasn’t the only car load my Subaru had to make lol
A couple of my favorite C&R handguns. The major player pistol designs of WW2 Europe
End with a funny pic from my past life in uniform that I found scrolling through my pictures roll...
Not sure why you're coming out swinging but I didn't say it would cover the cost brother. I said it will get you more than the sport take offs which are basically worthless. $2k over a sport when you're done is a much easier pill to swallow. That $2k would also get you a heck of a lot more...
I'll give an opinion I rarely see, if you want to mod then go Rubicon. You can get $1000-1500 for the wheels and tires, good luck getting $400 on the stock sport S wheels. You can get $300-350 for your shocks/ springs. You cant give away a stock sport shock. At least with the Rubicon you'd...
People keep saying Bestop makes the OEM so they won’t make a replacement. Unless that’s part of the purchase agreement from FCA I don’t follow. Selling another top to the people who didn’t buy your first one doesn’t seem like a bad idea to me. ?
The hardtop would be so much better as a 4 piece IMO. Have the back window be separate and the roof section over the back seats a separate piece. Easier, lighter, and better to store.
Pretty much, they took it a step farther with separate top and bottom inserts. I love their products, but you gotta pay to play for sure. For that kind of coin I’ll be running my free no doors lol.
Makes me want to design my own tube doors where the outer frame is solid with a panel in the middle that could be removed that would be essentially flat. The 4 flats could just be laid in the bed with minimal effort. A soft top style window on the top of the removeable panel with a zipper...
I think blacks the way to go only because of the inevitable damage if you off road it. For the cost of repainting one color matched fender you can just replace a black plastic one.
