I used standard wire when welding truss and brackets to tubes and used nickel wire for truss to cast. Pre heated cast to 450-500 degrees with a rosebud then kept warming up the same way every 5-10 min as I let them cool. Oh and and immediately after welding I used a flattened air impact hammer...
I purchased mine bare and had them Painted to match my truck and give that "stock" look. I agree that MC makes the nicest fenders. I love the look of mine. I had the tubes painted satin black so I can touch them up with a rattle can every time I rub against something.
Finally received My RK front long arm Kit last week. This is some no joke beefy stuff! the lower arm are 2" solid round steel bars and the uppers are stout too! Started chopping all the factory control arm Mounts last night. Boy its a lot of work in a tight spot on the drivers side. Luckily...
I totally agree. I think all gladiators are Butt ugly until they are lifted with larger tires. I have an almost fully loaded rubicon and still thought it was hideous but I already had a vision for it when I bought it. Before and After.
Good Morning, Yes, it all worked out great. It took a bit to get all the ABS to work correctly but I finally satisfied the computer the right way. Hit me up if you need any help. I went with 2005+ Ford one tons D60 and Sterling 10.5 and couldn't be happier. The one think I have not finished...
No I had not planned on going bigger. I am installing RK long arm front as soon as it arrives. I don't really want to raise the C.G. I wheel the crap out of it and do not want to increase the chance of rollover.
Ok so here is what the new front exterior 52 tooth tone rings look like installed with Factory Jeep ABS speed sensor installed. I can't see this not working. I have both front rings installed on the front. I will be installed the new 52 tooth rings on the rear hubs tonight. Keep your fingers...
I did, I think. LOL I am still waiting on the new parts to arrive. The first thing I tried does not work for the Jl or JT. That was machining the rear hubs and pressing on a 60 tooth tone ring to match the front ford tone ring that comes installed in the unit bearing along with using a Ram...
Hello All. Finally got these all assembled and installed. Mounted my Existing tires on new wheels this weekend too. Waiting on my new Drivelines from Adams Driveshaft. I've been looking around locally to see if someone can custom build me some brake lines to go from jeep to ford.
Just Finished assembling the rear axle last night. I noticed this morning when posting this that I installed the Rotors on the opposite sides. Ill get them swapped before installing the axle tonight.
Thank you. At the moment i am running bastard lift. Rock Krawler 4-1/2" coils all the way around. Rock Krawler rear adj. lower arms with the Pro X triangulated adj. upper arms with no track bar. Front has Steer Smart track bar and icon upper and lower arms. They will soon be replaced with...
Hello here is my input with my experience. I have had 40s on my JTR since February of last year. I have wheeled my truck pretty hard too. rock crawling, snow runs and everything in between. The stock axles have surprisingly held up. I am running 4.88 gears that were originally for the 37"s...
