Snapped Front Axle

The axle housing is one piece, your differential housing is cracked. The whole axle housing is junk and non salvageable. You may be able to reuse your axle shafts, knuckles, ring & pinion and carrier but all need to be checked throughly for damage.

The cheapest option is for you to find a used complete axle for sale here as a take off and use that. Otherwise you will be paying for labor to install all your old parts which may be bad.

Any model jt axle will work just pay attention to the gear ratio of the new to you axle and make sure it matches what you already have or it's gonna cost you more.

A Rubicon axle would work but likely the gear ratio will be 4.10 and the axle a 1/2" wider than stock sport which won't really effect anything.

Right, I've been looking for a while. its a waiting game.. Luckily im doing all the labor personally!

At that price point I'd probably be looking at a Dynatrac Prorock 44.

Im still a bit confused on all the tru lock / conventional diffs and all the other options that is offered, so im just leaning toward getting the same thing that was on the jeep when I bought it due to not knowing what other ones would work for me without continues modification to the other components.

Hello, I have a 2021 Gladiator with front end collision. I am considering spending the money and buying a whole new front axle for it but before I proceed I wanted to know if I can replace just the gear box and spindle? Is it better to just get a whole new axle or just replace the parts that are broken? Reason im not sure it the damage could have damaged the gear box internals...

I drilled a bolt into the axle to be able to move the jeep from place to place lol....

I ended up buying front and rear axles with a 4.10 Gear ratio and will be swapping them in for the 3.73's I have currently.

this post caused me to check mine. I’m in a rubicon with 4:10’s… does this look right to you all????

That's a plug weld. The weld holds the axle tube in the diff housing. If you look, you should see one opposite of it. There is 2 per side.

Yes that is normal. The tubes are just press into the cast housing and Plug welded to keep the tube from rotating.
