Seems like alot of you are regretting your diesel purchase. Not me. Love it. Been flawless over a yr of ownership. On 37's to boot. Many long mile trips. No overheating. Nothing. Great gas mileage and best of all. POWER and TORQUE. Keeping mine.
I just purchased some KO2 37X12.50X17. I ran them up to around 70 yesterday. Quiet. Tracked well. I think it is funny that everyone says that the KO2 are "a tad smaller". Like what? 1/2 inch.
I originally wanted the Nittos RG, but was concerned with the weight. My Jeep spends alot of...
Makes sense that the diesel would fit the JT better than the JL IMO. The JT is better for towing, overlanding (good mpg, more storage room, etc.) and hauling stuff. Not sure why a JL even needs a diesel option. Mute point now.
Funny you bring this up. I just purchased some BFG 37X12.50X17 KO2 a week ago. I wanted the Load C for the weight savings, but they were more expensive. So I went with the D's. Discount had some kind of sale and I received I believe $100 off.
Just do it. You already have the 4XE. The F150 will do everything better than the JT, except for one thing. Over time .... the F150 will become NUMB. Just another work/commute appliance.
Hell. Maybe you could trade back when/if they put the Tornado turbo six in the JT.
It's all relative. When I drove my 1 ton Ford F350 turbodiesel. I never considered 1/2 tons real trucks. lol.
I have to admit. I would never buy a Honda Ridgeline, but I'm sure this vehicle works for some individuals.
As far as the JT being a 1/2 ton or 1/4 ton. Who cares?
The F150 does most things comfortably, but it is just a bland, forgetful appliance. The many quirks that the Jeep Gladiator has makes it special. It's always a special occasion when I take my JTRD out. Hell. I love just staring at my Jeep in the garage.
I needed a small truck. I wanted a...
Is it a Jeep dealership? I would discuss this issue with them. You purchased a vehicle that normally would still be under warranty. It should have been disclosed to you that the vehicle was modified and therefore has limited waranty.
If some shady used car dealership. You might be sol.
I emphasize with the OP. I do not have that kind of patience. I would probably get a different vehicle if I was stranded more than once.
As for reliability. I live in Scottsdale. I've made several trips to Tucson and Flaggstaff. No issues whatsoever in my JTRD. Love my diesel .... but if...
