I'm in hot AZ. My jtrd has been solid so far. I am concerned with the motor oil running hot. I feel like I'm having to baby it up long inclines. Hoping fca comes up with a warranty type fix. Probably won't happen. I do at least have an extended warranty.
Situation sucks for OP. Just seems like best course of action for most owners is to follow the OEM manufacturers recommendations.
I'm not saying these other after market fluids are not better than OEM. But I do not have the time to deal with a situation like the OPs. I don't want to deal...
Sorry to revive an old thread. I was at the dealership getting my 1st oil change on my JTRD with a 2 in mopar lift. I still have my stock 33' WildPeaks. I really want 37's. I saw some Nitto Ridge G 37X13.50X17 at the dealership and started to drool.
Spoke to both the service advisor and the...
Got the truck back from the dealership. ECU flash for the DEF recall/issue. The backlash issue wasn't severe enough to investigate according to the service advisor. I have to admit. It is pretty mild and intermittant.
thanks for all that replied.
This is a very small intermittent clunk on take-off from a start. Sounds like it is coming from the rear dif. I've read about rear diff "lash" or looseness. I've had other trucks, but never experienced this before. Taking the JTRD in for it's 1st service this Tuesday. Should I mention it...
I'll add that if you had a diesel truck before (I did: F350 Turbodiesel) then we are more used to the nuances of owning a diesel. We're more tolerant lol.
Gas owners who have never owned a diesel are probably not used to the low torque, heavier front end weight, DEF, maintenance, etc. etc.
I...
These comparison threads are so funny. Everyone will have their own (OPINION) on what will best serve their purposes. No right or wrong. You want GAS. Don't buy the diesel. Simple.
Most here that own the diesel are not presenting "practical" reasons for owning the diesel. The numbers do...
Interesting. Makes sense. Here in Arizona. I run the AC ALOT (ESS always off with AC) and in the winter .... I've always disabled the ESS. Doesn't the alternator charge BOTH batteries?
Also. In the extreme Arizona heat. Batteries usually do not last for over 2-3 years before requiring...
Jeeps are just material objects. You can buy another. Family and pets are special. I have two dogs who besides my wife are my best friends. I will do anything for my dogs.
Good luck and take care.
Curious. I also have a JTRD with a 2in Mopar lift. Came stock with the Wild Peak 33's. Is there that much of a difference going from a 33 to a 35? Maybe an inch more height? Seems so small a difference.
Just curious.
I don't know. Lots of large insurance companies that have deeper pockets than some of these dealerships. Regardless. The OP's insurance company has an obligation to it's client (OP) to investigate this claim and reach some form of settlement on insurance reimbursements.
Unfortunately without...
