I must have got the wrong weight for the KO3 off a random website.
I picked those tires based off of looks, and they are all good brands. I won’t buy old ball brands (like Kanari or Road One), I always had trouble with them staying in balance.
I found a company that still had some Black Rhino...
I just got off the phone with Black Rhino. They said they can actually do the Arsenal or Armory in 20x9.5 with a +12mm offset. That actually helps a little. I think if I did 37x11.50 tires either Wildpeak R/T or Trail Grapplers, I would be somewhat close to what I have now as far as sticking...
I looked, I can’t find any that roughly look the same as I have. If I was keeping the 17” rims it would not be a problem, but I like the look of theb 20’ better..
I also do not off-road… I just saw that Falken makes a Wildpeak R/T01 37x11.50R20. That may be a possibility.
My big concern is the tires not sticking out. My current setup is perfect. But the rims are 8” with an offset of 30mm with Kanati Mud Hogs 37x12.5R17 10 PLY (36.8 - 73lbs - SW 13.03) on...
I had Toyo MTs years ago on my Tacoma and loved them. They are just the heaviest of all the tires. They do last a very long time.
I am starting to lean towards the Nitto Trail Grapplers just because they come in the 11.50 wide, that would help with tire poke…
I am buying new wheels and tires.
Currently I have:
Black Rhino Armory 17x8 +30mm offset (they look great and almost no tire poke)
37x12.5 Kanati Mud Hog tires (they look great but the tires suck, they are extremely noisy and have a bad shat between 50 and 60MPH)
I am buying Black Rhino Arsenal...
I just bought a sgw extension cable and cut it up, that is where I got the plugs that go in the Tazer mini… I know you can get the plugs and pins from somewhere (I couldn’t find them) but for me buying the extension cable was the easiest.
Amazon has the extension cables
There is been a thousand posts on this way and that way…. No need to reinvent the wheel, can bus immobilizer have been used in the EU where car theft is out of control with success.
THIS IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT- buy a can bus immobilizer, like one I listed in the FIRST post, and have it installed...
Yep, this is the actual thread where I posted everything… the custom harness I made and everything about relocating the Tazer and also the other can bus devices …
Anyone looking for it, go to the first post in this thread and I explain everything, including why the steel boxes don’t work…
Someone already makes a steel box that covers the OBD port.
BUT as I have already addressed, that won’t do anything as you can just cut the wires right behind it…
Same with covering the Star connector box. The only way to protect the Jeep is to HIDE the can bus I mobilizer device so it cannot...
Don’t know. I don’t come on the forum anymore because I am tired of people shiting up my posts and replying with irrelevant chit chat what I specifically say not to and to keep the post on track…
Ampire or Make a harness for the Tazer like I did and hide it…
Both my Jeeps have hidden Tazers, kept my jeeps safe when others on my street got stolen.
Unfortunately I don’t think Jimmy comes on this board anymore to buy a harness from. I don’t even come on this board anymore….
And don’t forget, as there claims manager told me on the phone “he knows da law”…. The fact that a small company like that needs a full claims department speaks for itself.
I said everything exactly how it happened in the post. But thank you for dragging this old post back up, it reminds people...
I told my story, for those to beware. As I said, I gave them multiple chances to make it right - they did not. So I made them do the right thing. That is what Marines do….
if you don’t like it, that is up to you. Everyone will decide for themselves.
