  1. Bumper Recommendations

I had a cheap Chinese repop Rubicon bumper highly rated by many on this form. I hated it. It was rusty right out of the box, hardware rusted at the speed of light. It bolted on perfectly but was just a little bit pointed down and just didn't fit and look right. I had to grind a tad to clear my...
  2. Darkstar Build Thread

I'm sure that the shocks play a part, the increased unsprung weight and taller sidewalls might contribute to the "more bouncy" feeling. Have fun!
  3. After shutting down dash keeps lighting up Draining battery over night

Leave your fob on the bedroom dresser while you go peak-a-boo in the truck window and report back.
  4. Thoughts on bumper widths?

Stubbly and mid are illegal in some states if that's a concern for you. It's to protect pedestrians and bicycles, the theory is to have them deflected away instead of being run over. All that being said, there's stubbies everywhere in my state and they are illegal, it's not really enforced as...
  5. Would you still do the Genesis Dual Battery?

I have stock batteries. I also have a Bluetti EB55, 200 watts of solar panels for when parked, and the factory inverter in the Gladiator when moving. It has worked out good so far. There's been times where I would like to have had a little bigger unit. I keep mindful of the meter and charge...
  6. Gladiator Mojave vs Rivian R1T (Photo Comparison)

Hard for me to compare because they are so different. I like my Mojave. The Rivian is beautiful, lots of neat innovation built-in. They don't do the tank turn or crab walk like they advised before they came out, oh well. The one I think is butt ugly is the Cyber Truck, evidently the first...
  7. No shocks

The way I look at your leaking shocks, it's a good reason/excuse for a complete suspension upgrade. It's a fine line between a reason and a excuse sometimes. Looks like this "/". My phone won't make a finer line. That's all I got. Good Luck my Friend.
  8. LED Fog lights Issues

If it ain't broke don't fix it. If they said it was plug and play from halogen to led you're fine.
  9. The Transfer Case Shift Knob....

My filthy Mojave after 2 months overlanding. The transfer case shifter went through a process to install. I installed the B&M short shifter for the manual transmission and was able to aquire just the knob for the transfer case. B&M tries to sell some stupid looking goofy dog leg extension for...
  10. Midland 575 GMRS Install

Yep. I have 2 handheld in my truck for wheeling. Seems practical to me also, if I'm fishing, wheeling, whatever, I have one and someone else can have one. If it's bolted in the truck I'm kinda fucked. One trick pony.
  11. Why Mojave?

You have a 21 Rubicon (it's mid 23 now) and are considering getting a new Gladiator? Maybe a Mojave? All I can say is the Rubicon you been there and done that and if you want something else, verity is the spice of life. Have fun.
  12. What do u have coming in the mail?

Lock-Right lunchbox locker for the front diff of my 1970 CJ5 should be here tomorrow or Monday. Oh yeah. Bring it. Going full retardation now, front and rear cheap ass lunchbox is on my plate now. Manual steering and now a front locker. Lord have mercy on my soul for I know not what the fuck...
  13. Who makes a long lasting iPhone charging cable?

My only bitch is some items you have to remove the rubber stopper to fit the adapter. My inReach rubber flap has to be opened up for the adapter. It's fine in the Gladiator but I do remove the adapter and use the rubber protector when fishing. I have a small Whitehouse baggie I put them in so I...
  14. Who makes a long lasting iPhone charging cable?

https://magnilink.co/collections/all-cables/products/magnilink-360-pro-100w-magnetic-charger?variant=46479432941908 I use this cable for all my shit. USB-C fast mofo charging (maybe that was fast turbo charging). For me it has worked on everything, android or apple, flashlight to blue tooth to...
  15. Off-road Alliance Support is Grumpy..

Hey, you got a reply, and options. I've had company's not even respond when inquiring about a late order. I would consider you a Lucky Dog. Maybe a Lucky Dog owner, I'm not sure. Do you even have a dog named Lucky? You do have options and communication, it ain't that bad. They are working with you.
  16. tail light out

Take bulbs out of right side and put them on left side and see what happens.
  17. Cold Air Intakes

I put on the Mopar cai, had the throttle body bored from 74 to 80 and half shaft by Fastman (Fastman does great work by the way). In theory I'm delivering air more efficiently, in real life I don't think it made much of a difference. I would definitely do it again anyway. That's just me.
  18. Took a stick to the front cooler, need advice

My condenser was warped significantly worse than this and radiator was unmolested, I would guess that your radiator is fine unless the stick went all the way through your condenser, and it doesn't appear that it did in the pictures.
  19. Took a stick to the front cooler, need advice

The condenser will leak a lubricant from it. The compressor has no oil reservoir, it's lubrication is part of the refrigerant. That's why he noticed the substance leaking.
  20. Took a stick to the front cooler, need advice

If you see oil leaking out and think it's not a condenser, it's still the condenser. The new refrigerant has the lubricant in it.
