  3. New tires better gas mileage

I just switched out the orignal Sport S tires for a set of Big O Bigfoot AT tires. I have a trip i take to my sons place which is a 160 mile round trip. Been averaging 24.9. With the new tires it now reads 26.7. The Big O AT tire is a light truck tire which means it has a stiffer sidewal as I...
  4. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

I wish the buttons behind the steering wheel that control the radio, left side controls which station right side does the volume, were switched. I dont change the station much but the volume yes. With my left arm doing most of the driving and resting on the window opening it would be more user...

I have a buddy with a F250 4x4 and it was horrible to drive, long. My Gladiator does not give me a hard time maneuvering anywhere, i dont turn into things, i like it. And it's just cool to drive.
  7. Everyone should change the differential fluids sooner rather than later

Metal, i removed the glob that was on the drain plug and put that on a shop towel, a magnet picked it up from two inches away. The oil had that minnow in the creek look.
  8. Everyone should change the differential fluids sooner rather than later

Ok, what is the cost involved sending a sample to be tested, including postage and supplys and time, bet that will buy a quart ot two. My 96 4.0 has 175000 miles doesnt smoke and the dipstick stays cleen for quite awhile. My BMW GS and my Indian Roadmaster use no oil and keep their oil cleen. I...
  9. Everyone should change the differential fluids sooner rather than later

I have brought home brand new motorcycles 50 miles and have dropped the oil and filter. I just know anything man made needs all the help it can get. The oil i just took out of my Gladiator rear diff with 3000 miles on it looked like you ground up a nickel. The magnet i took to the glob of black...
  10. Everyone should change the differential fluids sooner rather than later

I cut the paper off of the engine oil filter cartridge so i could spread it out real good, i know it filters outside in but i wanted to get a good look. Gas engine. I just finished up with my diff oil change and discovered the bottom drain plugs both have magnets in them, i assumed they were...
  11. Everyone should change the differential fluids sooner rather than later

Yep your right but my money my Jeep. I also replaced the engine oil at 950. Did i send off the oil for analysis, no. I cut open the filter and I inspected myself and found significant metal which I know is not unusual . I do not care for that slurry circulating inside my new engine. Didn't need...
  12. Everyone should change the differential fluids sooner rather than later

I would suggest everyone change the differential fluids sooner rather than later. Just opened up the plugs on mine with less that 3000 miles and the rear looked like it needed changed. The front was good but i am changing it also. Sport S with the tow package but not diff lock.

  16. K&N drop in filter 1500 mile review

Only way to let more air through a filter is to moke the holes in the filter bigger. Hold a K&N up to a light, you can see through it, WTF. My opinion a K&N air filter does not filter the air going into a engine good enough for long life, if your racing and looking for every bit of performance...
