Cafecito I couldn’t agree more. I think the Mojave wheels are actually better looking than most of the aftermarket. I have been spending money on lights, steps, headliners, skid plates, and eventually I’ll get to a soft top option and maybe some better fenders. Just ordered mudflaps today as...
Well I live about 8200ft up in Wyoming. So traveling through deep snow is my number one issue. Also drive at higher speeds on dirt-main reason I went with a Mojave over a Rubicon.
Any rubbing with the 35’s?I’ll need studded snows in winter, but the Hakkapeliitta come in 315/70/17. And do you need special wheels with the Mojave.
I have done some skid plates, just got SS3 fogs, did headliners, side steps. I had a purpose with all of those mods. My rear rockers are sand blasted at 3000 miles. I figured putting on larger tires would make this even worse.
I feel like I’m the only person here that has not gone to larger wheels and tires. Now I get those of you doing hardcore anything off road. Larger tires along with a lift give you more traction, better break over, and more ground clearance. However if you are not doing the Rubicon all the...
Oh and payback on the diesel would be about two years for me. I drive primarily highway and 30,000 miles per year. I already have the automatic and average a little over 15 mpg. The Diesel would most likely get closer to 25 mpg.
My only complaint with diesel is cold starting. I have had 4 diesels and only my Ram would start below -15 degrees Fahrenheit. I had a CRD liberty, a power stoke, and a blurtec Mercedes as well. People always asked why I never plugged them in at night. Well sometimes I have to park almost a...
The fact that we are now 26 pages into this forum should tell us one thing. Wether or not you love, hate, or envy the new Bronco it has garnished our attention. Having more choices for needing or wanting an off road vehicle is a good thing. The Bronco exists again because of the Jeep and the...
In all seriousness I’m getting between 14 and 16 on stock tires at 41psi. My commute is 37 miles each way with a 2000 ft elevation difference. As far as speed let’s just say 75+.
Funny you say that. I have an x5 with 50,000 miles that has had the engine and fuel pump replaced already. But at least it was all fixed under warranty without a problem.
I have used Dm-V1 and DM-V2 blizzards on my last F-150. Also had at the time Hakkapeliitta 7 studded tires on my Q7. The F-150 even with a locking rear diff was terrible in deeper snow while the Audi never really got stuck. The Blizzaks were comparable on ice, but wore down much faster. I...
These are all photos right around my house. The open terrain gives you an idea why I thought the Mojave was my best choice. The drift is right behind my house and no amount of lockers will ever get through that.
