The best advice is training. I spent 35 years as a EMT Paramedic get all the training you can. The best equipment is worthless if not used properly.

The bed issue is not new. I had a 96 F150 and the bed was "out of square". When I mentioned to a friend who owned a body shop he said 25% of all trucks are that way due to the assembly process.

I have had a Fishbone mid with on my JT for 18 months. I don't deal with salt on the road but I drive on the beach a lot. No rust the powder coat has held up very well, only place is where a F150 backed in to me. Cut the powder coat I touched it up with a Rust-oleum hammered finish.
