  1. Solo trip on broken arrow

My son and his family will be moving to Tucson this fall. I will be plaining a trip out there in the spring. Looking forward to it. It will be different than the beach and trails in Fl.
  2. Big tires mess up speedometer?

Larger tires will make the speedometer read slow. You can have the dealer adjust it or you can use a mini taser to make the correction. I have the Rubicon wheels and tires which gives me a 2 MPH slow reading per my GPS.
  3. STOLEN from my driveway this morning! New Jeeps are crazy easy to steal apparently...

Back when the club first came on the market a friend of mine had his truck stolen. The thieves left the club in his parking place. They cut the steering wheel.
  4. 8 Speed Automatic Regrets?

Most of my vehicles have been manual transmissions. I do not regret the 8 speed. Smooth no problems, I have two other vehicles with manuals if I want to go that way.
  5. is 0W-20 really the right oil ?

This topic is as old as motor vehicles. I have a 03 F250 with the 6.8 V10. The manual callers for 5W20. All the Ford truck boards debated 5W20 verses 5W30. My take on it is my F250 now has 280K on the motor and the 5W20 has not caused me a problem. I will take Jeep's advice and use the 0W20.
  6. Anyone else feel this way?

My JT does not wobble or sway. Been right since day one. In 1989 when my daughter was ready to learn to drive I through her the keys to my 74 CJ5 and told her to go drive in the lower field for a couple of hours. Them we went on the road in my F250. She took her test in my wife's T bird she...
  7. Both Batteries Dead 2020 Gladiator $898 to replace!?!???

I was at my dealer today and ask the Service Advisor how much to replace both batteries and he said $450 to 500 he would have to check but he thought 1 and 1/2 hours labor.
  8. Gladiator wrenching, blood and mishaps.

I have had a sign in my garage for over 20 years, do not know where my wife bought it. Busted Knuckle Garage repair and despair under one roof.
  9. New tire time

I also have a 2020 Sport S. Factory rims and tires replaced with take-offs from a Rubicon the 285/75R17 no issues.
  10. Ok, so now what??

As Papa says make it yours. Mine is a sport S so your Rubicon is better equipped out the door than mine. However for two years I have towed my boat, enclosed trailer, rode on the beach, surf fished, hunted, and rode some trails. It does every thing I want it to do. Beautiful truck enjoy.
  11. Who else is happy with the Pentastar?

I had a 69 Boss 302 (gradation present in 70) great power, but the suspension was terrible. Rear end would brake loose on a hard curve. Tried one a few years back and thought that my 06 GT was a much better handling car. I still miss that car my Ex totaled it in 74 of course with the oil...
  12. Major Design Defect

Watch it! In 1978 I was at work and my 6 year old got in my pickup with the three on the tree shifter, shifted in to neutral and steered in to a oak tree. Walked in to her bed room and played until I came home. Did not know how my truck hit a tree.
  13. Gladiator NEOPHYTE takes the latest Plunge!

OK you broke the ice you are on the slippery downhill. Enjoy the ride. I wont say how much I have spent in the last two years, my wife may read this. Just keep some of the old boxes in the back of the garage and when ask where that came from you can say it was in the garage. Just kidding the...
  14. New member with a new buddy

Looks like my Lab as a pup. Enjoy the JT and the Dog. No mater what you buy there will be dog hair in the Jeep. Quit fighting it and enjoy life.
  15. I need a winch, but why?

I have had a winch on my F250 for 19 years, I have never managed to stick my 250 any where that I had a place to winch to. That said it has been worth every penny I paid working on my land. Pulling stumps, logs, encouraging trees to fall in the direction I want. That said I just mounted one on...

I can't speak for every Gladiator owner, next month on the 17th will be two years. I have 45,000 trouble free miles. I wish you the best of luck with the new truck.

  18. Bad day on the free way

    Hope it is quickly resolved.
  19. Bad day on the free way

They should settle quickly. I have been retired 8 years now but the agency I worked for was self insured and moved quickly to settle, the feeling was that it was cheaper than being sued. I got hit in a intersection stopped with all warning lights on and they paid because it was cheaper in the...
