I used a breaker bar to break them free then a ratchet. Could have used the impact once I broke them free but decided to just do it by hand then once loose I used the impact while pulling down on the washer. Heat it for a long time and they will break free easier but will also take longer before...
Ace Engineering sliders are done, definitely some puckering breaking the bolts loose. I used a heat gun and cleaned the threads and applied blue loctite. Realistically each side can be done in less than 30 minutes. Very pleased with the quality and they were well packaged.
You did a great job, everything is blending in nicely. Just getting back on mine, used a heat gun and it works much better. Yeah I just pulled down on the washer and spun the impact slowly and the bolts popped right out. Gonna clean up the threads on the bolt and probably use some blue loctite...
Truck looks great. Glad to hear yours clicked as well, mine clicked twice and my first thought was the nut broke loose from the weld then once I got the bolt loose it wouldn’t drop out, had to go back and read through some comments and forgot there was a plastic retainer. Did you have any issues...
Just curious if while loosening the bolts if it felt like any of the the nut was loose. I heard 2 pops as I started loosening mine with a breaker bar, I was able to loosen the bolt but then at the end it just spins and won’t come out. I can tighten it back up so not sure what’s happening.
Thanks, I saw a video of flagpole knob, what I saw didn’t look bad. I gotta be cautious cause I will be going alone and probably won’t have a winch by then but probably bring some recovery gear.
A lot to process and exactly the info I wanted to receive. Thank you so much for the details. Just curious and I realize many things can determine the outcome but roughly how long would/should it take to complete the trail you mention.
Since we are flexible on timing do you have any suggestion...
We are planning a trip this spring from Indy to Hampton, WV. We will be traveling 64 all the way and I'm looking for a simple easy place to get off-road while in-route. Not looking to travel a great distance off 64 to do this and it would be ideal if there were some antique stores near by for...
Not sure I understand your question....are you asking if a Tazer can make JL TPMS sensors work with STFA? That answer would be no, unless there was a break though recently we haven’t heard of.
