  1. Bruh, You Sure The Spacers Were Tight?

Not only does the tire launch the vehicle into the air, it comes back and hits it a second time. Geesh!

  3. Tire wear question?

I rotate tires every 5k or at least every time my oil is changed. Will almost double the wear life of the tire. My front brake pads wear faster than rear brake pads for the same reason. When you are braking, you are throwing a lot of weight and inertia to the front of the vehicle which is...
  4. Matt Rescues DV8 Off-road Bronco

I doubt if Matt has a lot of time to surf the web lookin for accessories! Subscriber to the Matt's Off Road, Fab Rats and Merlin's Old School Garage channels on the tube.
  5. "Creaking" plastic? sound in cabin

My 3-piece freedom top creaks a bit when it's cold (Boston, MA). But come Mid April, my Best-Top sunrider top goes on and -voila- no more creaking. I also have an intermittent rattling sound when I hit a bump behind the A-Pillar cover where the seal belt winder mechanism resides. Sounds like...
  6. Have you ever done the Jeep wave......

-it was worse before my wife got her wrangler...?
  7. $150 for a map update??

I use apple maps/carplay on my 8.4" screen and the Premium JBL sound is a bonus.
  8. Mini RAM

Someone chopped a minivan? I admit i did like the look of the original Honda Ridgeline for a small truck built on a minivan chassis. The new ones don't look enough like a truck in my opinion.
  9. Looking at the Gladiator from behind....

Same: I'm staying with stock tires until it's time to swap them out, (2020 Overland, Goodyear Wrangler ATA 255/70/R18) but added 2" backspacers to give me tire poke. Looks much better in my opinion. The tires tucked underneath seem to make it look too "brick-like". From ExtremeTerrain.com...
  10. U-Joint Upgrade

I too have an occasional -clunk- when reversing without a strong foot on the brake or sometimes when letting off the gas and then getting right back on it again. Hasn't gotten any worse and I don't have experience with u-joints or swapping them out. Watching for now as I really don't want to...
  11. Software update

I also have the Premium JBL system with 8" screen and installed the update. No noticeable changes. Though I have been getting a number of communication about purchasing the map update for $199. No Thanks, I use Carplay and my apple maps. It would be great if the update corrected the issue of...

-don't think there is any hope for Massachusetts... too busy trying to turn us into East Coast Cali here ?
  13. What is this piece called? I saw one on a Gladiator and really liked the look.

We CAN amaze ourselves from time to time while amusing others ...?
  14. Dry rotting tires

I've actually seen this type of surface stress cracking in 38" Mickey Thompson tires on a Wrangler a few years back. Only had 20k miles on them. Never forgot that.
  15. What is this piece called? I saw one on a Gladiator and really liked the look.

Aw shucks, I've knocked my garage door off its tracks with a Christmas tree tied to the top of an SUV... made me feel reassured that it (the tree) was secured properly ?
  16. What is this piece called? I saw one on a Gladiator and really liked the look.

Personally, I think chase Racks look cool, but be advised I have yet to find on that is compatible with the Mopar tri-fold hard tonneau cover. Most hard tri-fold covers mount to a rail inside the bed - same place the chase rack mounts. So even if there is a gap, like on the Tyger chase rack...
  17. Switching from M/T to A/T results

Odd, running Falken WP AT3 W's on my wife's '21 JK Sahara (285/65/R18) and so far they are wearing great (26k).
  18. Rubicon Wildpeak realistic mileage

Agree - I put W.P. AT3W's on my wife's '21 JL when we purchased it new and they are still a great ride 22k miles later. Great traction in all conditions here in New England and low road noise. I'm switching my JT from Goodyear Wrangler A/T radials (55k miles) to W.P. AT3W.
  19. Sunrider questions

With you on this. I quickly tired of jumping out to stash the freedom panels in the back.
  20. Sunrider questions

You can remove the doors - there is a frame rail that sits on top of and bolts through the roll bar - 2 bolts each side. Because of those 4 bolts through the roll bar, you could remove the bracket with 2 bolts at the rear that unite the sunrider to the hard top and the remove the hard top...
