JT Overland
3 years (6/2020), 67k, minimal off road but found more than capable when needed. Daily driver. Love having a Jeep with a truck bed when needed, exactly what I hoped it would be when I purchased.
Still stock, other than Sunrider and 2" Mammoth wheel spacers for "poke" and minor...
I also have also experienced this on a recent road trip while passing over bridge joints or major road bumps. Almost like the jeep Steering jitters a bit and regains contact as it settles. Not to the point where it feels dangerous or out of control, but something of note that I would relay to...
I like your thinking - definitely seems like it would reduce the amount of small rocks and such hitting the sides of the Jeep or getting thrown into the side view mirrors... I like to see at least the sidewalls poking out when i look down the side of the vehicle, not hiding underneath.
Sad to hear this. It used to be when you paid for quality you could expect quality. Seems like you should have someone in quality control that cares about the reputation and survival of your company. I don't own a welder (yet)...
Rock strikes and Jeep windshields go hand in hand - starting way back with my first - '93 YJ. I think I had 3 windshield replacements in that one. So far only repairable hits on my '20 JT stock windshield but I am an absolute NUT about not following dump trucks or even UPS trucks with dually...
Thanks for posting. I currently have (stock) Goodyear Wrangler ATA 255/70R18 ('20 Gladiator Overland has 18" wheels) and have been eyeing the Goodyear Duratracs when i upgrade and upsize to 285/65R18. We run Falken Wildpeak AT3W 285/65R18 on my wife's '21 JL. The appearance and wet/snow...
2020 Gladiator Overland purchased new. Still bone stock except for minor add-ons (Shorty antenna, Best top Sunrider, Mesh Sunshade). 61k miles no issues. My 2 cents: don't install anything (lift kit, oversize anything or items that affect ride geometry or put undue strain on stock parts) unless...
Welcome.
I would agree the break in period is very small or non-existent. I've averaged 20,000 miles per year since purchasing my Gladiator Overland -new- in June 2020. Just passed 60k on a recent 1200 mile trip (enjoyed every mile) and still averaged 22.5 mpg keeping it just under 75 most of...
My '20 Gladiator overland will occasionally -hold- a gear too long, usually 4th around 35-40 mph. A quick shift to manual, upshift to 5th then back to auto usually does the trick. It happens so rarely that when it does occur, I usually have a -moment- where i think "oh yeah, this again" cue...
I too like the sunrider. I have a garage, so I slide my hardtop and sunrider off onto my park under storage rack when the weather here in Boston will be sunny and warm on the weekend.
No problems at all, 2 years in and this is quality made (heavier twill version). I don't leave it on in the Boston winters, but it's on late March through October. No leaks in the automatic wash.
2020 Gladiator Overland, Punk'n Orange Metalic, 57k miles, 21.3 mpg average. Stock wheels with Goodyear Wrangler ATA 255/70/R18 tires (zero road noise).
I have the twill sunrider and thoroughly enjoy it. It's a soft top, so there will be some wind noise. You can reduce wind noise substantially...
Nice write up
I too considered Ridgeline, Tacoma and Colorado
-Honda Ridgeline reminded me too much of past minvans which we are running away from now that the kids are "growed"
-Toyota Tacoma - what's with the cramped seating positions? My wife and i are both 6' and 2 of my 4 kids are already...
I lower mine and clean then wipe it down with a light coating of machine oil at leat 2x per year. Usually Spring and Fall. I also crawl under the truck and spray any exposed bolts with fluid film.
