Agreed. my problem is that although I am well versed and knowledgeable about modding off-road motorcycles, I'm a newb on jeeps, and I just don't know how much is "not enough" and how much is "too much". Time will reveal all, but until it's revealed, I keep getting bouts of the "I GOTTA HAVE...
??? Pretty funny. Buying a gladiator is the first step of hundreds - make that thousands or tens of thousands of little "tiny" dollar-steps. I'm $5k in with tools, recovery, compressor, air up/down, etc. and feel like I've barely started. Oh well.... It's only money and I'm getting older every...
Nice analysis. You did WAAAY more work than I did. (Month old 2022 JT Rubicon). I just wanted a jeep for hitting the local trails, and needed a truck. The solution was simple for me. Glad I didn't have to do all the work you did. :) :) I hope you find the right Rubicon for you, and enjoy...
I have not watched all the video's or read deeply into this thread, but as an audio professional, I can pretty much guarantee you that changing speakers will not necessarily net you more "volume". They may be more defined, have more clarity or bass or whatever, but they will not be louder...
It's an iPad 4 mini. A few generations old, but with the Cellular and Wi-Fi so that it comes with GPS antenna built in. For me, it's a nice size. Bigger than a phone, but not a huge as a full blown iPad. Here are the dimensions :
Height: 203.2 mm (8.00 in) Width: 134.8 mm (5.31 in) Depth...
There seem to be an abundance of them around. I ended up with this one :

Quite pleased with it.
Good luck with your project!! If you need help with music go ahead and PM me - I'm a film/tv composer and a newbie to Gladiator land. More experienced off-road on 2 wheels, but learning on the Gladiator platform. Cheers, bp
Hmmmm....that is strange. Unfortunate too. Those cmmoffroad ball mounts for the RAM arms are really (IMO) the easiest and most convenient (except for overland I guess) ways to mount stuff. Next up for me is one of their A pillar ball mounts for phone or Garmin GPS.
hahaha!!! Noooo, not that! LOL. :) :)
Thanks! Mums the word. I gotta keep things just a little bit on the downlow until the wife embraces the full jeep modification / tweaking lifestyle. :). Hopefully she doesn't see this post.
Took her and her 94 year old parents wheeling today though...
Haha! Winter is still trying to hang on here, but she's pretty much done except for the occasional snow flurry that's melted off by lunch. I did get a chance to use the Gladiator a few times in the snow week before last, and it performed AWESOME in the snow with the stock Rubicon tires....
I hear ya. Just Empty Every Pocket..... :) :) Not many options unfortunately. Still, I'm happy with the quality and ruggedness of them. And I agree completely, not enough money to get the rig where I want it. I've only had it a month, and I'm already overwhelmed at how much I've spent on...
Today (actually yesterday) :

- Garmin inReach Mini 2 for Sat communication
- MORRflate multitire (4) Inflation / Deflation kit with TenSix compressor
