  1. Is this normal? stock ’25 Gladiator Rubicon brief buzz when braking.

6,200 miles. The noise is a very uniform electronic buzz from outside the cabin. The buzz is a specific duration (1.5 seconds maybe) that doesn’t change. It is only noticeable when in a drive through with a wall that the sound reflects off of. Not loud, but very distinct with the window down...
  2. Now Available! The World's First Removable Drop-Down Step For Factory Rock Slider Rails!! NXTGEN Cross Terrain

I should have paid more attention to the pics at the Nxtgen website. I think I have mine mounted about where their’s are pictured now. I mounted mine forward a couple of inches to begin with thinking that’s where my big feet wanted to be, but after getting it all buttoned up and trying it out I...
  3. Now Available! The World's First Removable Drop-Down Step For Factory Rock Slider Rails!! NXTGEN Cross Terrain

Will do. My four year old granddaughter likes me to put her in the bed of the Glad to play and watch the street for the neighbors walking their dogs. She’s on a first name basis with ALL the neighbor dogs. . She’s tall for her age and soon to be 5. Last week she just climbed into the bed by...

Just got my Nxtgen steps in and unboxed. Well packed, with tools, and they are stout. (granddaughter’s toy in the pic. ā€œPopā€ had to assemble it)
  5. Snow and ice this weekend

All you folks from Oklahoma to North Carolina, tighten up your bra straps. This is how we do it in NC. Take notes. šŸ˜€ Raleigh NC - 2014 I think we are going to have a repeat performance.
  6. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

5.0 Coyote option in a 2025 Ford truck is $2500. I traded out of a 2017 XLT FX4 5.0 to get in my previous Gladiator. I’d be tempted, but having bought a 2024 Sport S new, and traded it for a 2025 Rubicon new, it would be one of my dumber financial decisions. It’s all paid for, but still.
  7. What did you HAUL in your JT today?

Bed full of pine straw bales
  8. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

I traded mine with 115K and only replaced the tires, a battery, the clock spring in the steering wheel, and flushed/replaced the coolant.
  9. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

I’m not giving up on V8s. My first one. ’67 390 FE Dad bought new. I bought it from him in ’74 and beat the crap out of it in the mountains of NC. A couple of other recents- ’92 5.0 Mustang ’04 SVT Cobra But my favorite, 2017 Ford truck with a Coyote So I’m not done with V8s just yet...

  12. IMPORTANT BATTERY INFO FOR ALL JT OWNERS

Good point. Back in the 70’s I had a buddy with a Porsche that was over charging the battery. Smelled like cheese eggs. And that was while we were inside, driving, with the battery behind us in the engine bay (914).
  13. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

I can’t answer your question, Just what I saw, which may or may not be just internet blather, 6.4 in 2026, and also 5.7 available in 2027.

  15. IMPORTANT BATTERY INFO FOR ALL JT OWNERS

25 years ago Buick (and I expect other GM) put batteries under the back seat of their sedans, and it wasn’t that hard to pop the back seat bottom loose. They’d definitely be cooler.
  16. U-connect and/or Carplay update changes the blue arrow on Google maps to a pic of a small vehicle...?

I think the only available nav for my ’24 Sport S and the ’25 Rubicon is to run Carplay or Android Auto, as far as I know. I did turn off the ā€œNorth Upā€ setting, which is different from what I have been accustom to running on multiple vehicles, BUT, it does resolve the primary issue that was...
  17. U-connect and/or Carplay update changes the blue arrow on Google maps to a pic of a small vehicle...?

Not that I know of. But I’m pretty sure my maps have always been set to "keep map northā€, on a 2017 Ford truck, two Gladiators, ’24, and ’25, a ’24 Subaru, and two late model Harley’s with Nav. But I will check that out.
  18. U-connect and/or Carplay update changes the blue arrow on Google maps to a pic of a small vehicle...?

See the thing is, I didn’t make the change. One day I got in, Carplay came up as usual, and the Google maps arrow had changed to the red vehicle you see below in the pic I posted. You can’t tell which direction it’s moving on the map at lower speeds unless you stare at it. That pic below is...
