No i didn't try the offroad+. I'll most likely try it and see what it does or if it helps but I explained my theory to them and there was no further discussions about it other than it was "deemed normal" and thats all they could tell me. It was wierd because everytime the @JeepCares rep called...
Well here's an update: After multiple phone calls and discussions with the dealer and @JeepCares the issue was "deemed normal operation". I asked for an explanation on how they deem this normal operation but never received anything. All that @JeepCares wanted to do was offer me an 8 year 125k...
It’s not a manual. I had the Jeep in drive and accelerated in 2nd gear to 1500-2000 rpms and lef off the gas completely. It was coasting and surging on its own.
Ya I don’t think it’s normal. I can see if I was doing it because I was on the throttle and it is touchy at that high of gear ratio but for the Jeep to do it on its own doesn’t seem right. Guess I’ll see what the star tech says. I sent the video to my Jeep care specialist.
Here is a video of what it does. If you listen close you can hear the driveshaft and gears clicking from the surging. When the rpms drop I let off the gas and it’s coasting.
brianinca, i know it doesn't seem right but i haven't owned a Rubicon before and want to make sure its normal or if something is truly wrong. In my opinion, it doesn't seem right. I just feel it defeats a little of the purpose of me buying a Rubicon. I am getting a little dance from the...
Are you talking about it shifting when its moving or actually shifting it into 4 lo? I can get it to shift into 4 lo with no issues. Its pretty smooth actually. Its when i'm actually in 4 lo and the transmission is in 2nd gear and then start moving. If i give it gas to get up to 2000 rpm's...
I shifted in 4 low at a stop. I wasn't rolling. My 09 JK, as morejeepsthanicancount stated, could be put in 4 lo at a stop. These new ones i'm learning still.
I"m not sure what the dealer did. I tested mine in my yard and on my drive. I do know not to do that on pavement or hard surfaces. I just stumbled on the lunging/throttle surge trying to figure out the problem i have with the rear control arms. I was trying to get them to act up so i could...
OK so more on this and hopefully someone can chime in and give me some feedback. I had the dealer test drive a rubicon JT and a Sport S JT to determine if the lunging/throttle surge is normal. The SPort S did not lunge forward when in 4 low and in 1st or second gear. The rubicon did. I know...
I swear I’m beginning to think this JT is a pile of garbage. Finally figured out the popping noise and I have new rear control arms coming in to be replaced. Now I have a couple new problems I discovered while figuring out the popping noise.
First is when in 4 low. In drive or reverse the...
@Oracle Designs I think this looks amazing. One option that comes to mind is to remove the center backup light and have a void there with some mounting tabs or different options for brackets that we could install cube lights for a brighter reverse light. The standard set could come with shown...
That’s the bracket and the bolt isn’t making contact. The rubber o ring that goes around the bolt to seal the ball joint is popping out. It’s at a pretty good angle and my assumption is the angle force has squeezed the o ring out a little. I contacted fox about it and they said to undo...
Thanks i know it’s a long shot for remote diagnosis. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas. The noise in the videos is comming from the back. And I didn’t touch anything back there. That’s the wierd thing. I’m more than likely going to take it back to the dealer but just wanted to have an...
I hope someone can help. I’ve reached out to Synergy, Steer Smarts and Jeep but haven’t heard anything.
so here is the story. I installed the following parts; fox 2.0 ts steering stabilizer, steer smarts track bar and drag long with attenuator and the synergy sector shaft and track bar brace...
