I think the "style" of stop and go traffic is key. I found my MPGs actually ticked up a bit when i permanently disabled the ESS -vs- originally when I was just letting it do its thing. For me the stops from home to work were just so that basically it was constant on/off as traffic went thru...
I am really happy with the Mopar Tri Fold Hard Cover. About as "secure" as you can get with tailgate closed and locked. I like how it sits flush.
Only drawback thus far is that it limits some of the additional accessories you can get like bed extenders, etc. Also limits height of coolers...
I would love Jeep to offer real half doors for JT. I have pretty much tried all the other type of solutions on my Jeeps over the years and none compare to real half doors. Fitment, rattles, leaks, yada yada...they all have one or all of those issues.
Based on what my computer shows for both avg MPG and DTE....my tank is ~19 gallons.
I let the tank get low where DTE shows less than 40miles.....it even started showing word LOW instead of miles and when I went to fill up it took just shy of 19 gallons.
Something does not add up.
Its annoying and while I could have gotten used to pressing the button everytime I started the Jeep...I know there would be times I would have forgotten...then gotten pissed off the first time it activated. Any chance of reducing my getting pissed off is good. Also, I did run with it enabled...
Well just hit 4800 miles so either this weekend or next will be first oil change for my JTR. Oil Life meter shows 46%...not sure how it calculates that or if I trust it....for now going to stick with every ~5k miles.
Got Amsoil 0w20 and Filter waiting. Also ordered a Fumoto valve...had one...
