@eternus thanks for the info. This would be my first Jeep, but I've gone rock crawling with some of my wife's family in Colorado a few times. I've heard there's some trails in the Black Hills where you can rock crawl and the wife has been talking about wanting to go for a few years now...

I see now that the cold weather group also includes remote start. I probably won't get a JT until next year, so there should be plenty of after market accessories available by then.

It looks like I can get most of the options I want in a Sport S except for the remote start, proximity keyless entry, lockers, rock rails, and LED lights. Remote start, rock rails, electronic disconnect, and lockers can be added after market relatively easily, and I can live without the...

20 years ago people weren't trying to tow 5-6k lbs. at 70+mph with a mid-sized truck.

The front half of the body is identical to the JL, but the JT's suspension is different which IIRC necessitated the change to the way the exhaust is routed. There's a video review (can't find it atm) that shows the heat in the driver's foot-well with an inferred camera. Seems like the engineers...

FWIW, my plan is to get a bumper like the mopar or metalcloaks that has removable wings. That way I can leave them on during daily driving and take them off when I hit the trail.
