Steel skid plate for bumper shortage?

Spoke with my local dealer and apparently you can't order the steel bumper group until 12/31/19 (anticipated) due to a supplier change.

Wonder if they stocked away enough of those bumpers for all the Rubicons and LEs......

No they didn’t.. I ordered my loaded rubicon on 4/26( first day to order non LE ) and was informed yesterday that my status D will remain until August.. I cancelled the order all together.. will buy something else..

Aftermarket. There will be a ton of aftermarket bumpers that are better quality. I wouldn't wait on a bumper if it were me.

Sorry everybody, the shortage isn't on the steel bumper, its on the steel skid plate......could still delay things for rubicon/le possibly, but my bad. for the guys that ordered on 5/22, perhaps it was the lack of skid plate?????

In the not too distant future, or now, you should be able to pick up slightly used or new take-off OEM bumpers on the web (Facebook, Craigslist, forums) that are advertised locally for $300-$400. Why shell out $1,150 for that bumper???

You can order the bumper, can't order the skid plate. I'm wondering if the skid plate shortage will delay Rubicon, but that's total speculation.
