Welcome! Great start! I have a build thread for my Firecracker JTR as well...check out "Seeing red in SoCal." Looking forward to seeing where you take it. In my opinion you have to "make it yours!" Enjoy and congrats!

Finding a central location is always the challenge. We used to have them at the Fuddruckers in Lake Forest. I live in Northern Orange County now so if you are referring to north OC that works better for me. I see now that you are in San Diego...I wouldn’t mind a road trip...maybe not all the way...
Oh...I added the fold up license plate bracket.
When it is folded up it is just a hair over the height of the bumper. It will work with the tailgate folder down no problem. :like:
Hey SoCal folks. When I ran a forum we used to have monthly meet-ups at a restaurant. It was great fun walking around and talking to folks about their rigs and trail runs...or just getting to know each other. Has this been done on this forum? I suggest we give it a try. Let me know if you are...
JK-Adventure. It is defunct now but we had a great group. Lots of fun runs and work parties...at least for the local folks.
And thanks. I am very happy with the progress.
5th tire showed up a few days ago and the wheel will be here today. Got to get the spare set up. Didn’t want to order the fifth until I tried out the tire size. Very happy with the setup. Spare will be tied down in the bed. Have an appointment on the 20th for the hide-a-hitch install!

Just FYI, I found out that the Rustoleum Gloss Protective Enamel in the color Cherry Gloss is a great match to the Firecracker Red on my JTR! Here is a comparison photo in direct sunlight. I wouldn’t use it for body correction, but for little accents where it isn’t right next to body panels it...
I am experimenting with using ceramic coating on the fender liners. The water spots are challenging to get off of the stainless steel. Other than that I installed a smaller black antenna yesterday and got her all bright and shiny!
Soooo...got 4 huge boxes from Road Armor yesterday! I have been so anxious to get these. One down....3 to go...
install is a little challenging for these reasons:
1) as always instructions were incomplete and hard to follow...go figure.
2) could not be installed around the Falcon 3.3 shocks...
There are a few scratches on the back of the rears towards the bottom from when I installed the back bumper. I am thinking about $600. No shipping though. It would be crazy to ship these.
and I agree. They would look cool on a stingray JT!
A few small updates today. Left foot rest...
probably one of my favorite mods so far! At least for comfort anyway.
installed some bags I found from my previous Jeep...
oh...and I actually used it as a truck today...20 bags of mulch!
we went out to breakfast to celebrate!
I got the aluminum one from GenRight and I love it. Very light and the winch sits nice and low between the frame rails. All of this stuff is subjective and you need to find the parts that make you smile! Spend time checking out what others have done... that’s the beauty of a forum...part of the...
Welcome and congrats! Hope it gets here soon. I wouldn't worry too much about a little weight on the front. Especially if you go with a steel Jeep bumper. There are some front bumpers out there that are pretty heavy especially if you add a winch...
SOOOOO...Today I installed some major beefy kind of stuff...RPM Steering's 2.5 ton drag link and tie rod...
not sure how I felt after the test drive. Everything felt so good before this install. When I got home I found out that the toe was at 0. I gave it a 1/8” toe in and will see how it feels...
