There is a lot of misinformation about "premium" fuel. It is not premium, it simply has additives that prevent it from detonating due to compression (like diesel engines). The fuel companies/ suppliers are making a ton of money off the terminology and gullible people, they could probably sell it...
For a cold start you are correct, after a brief shutdown (under 2 minutes) there is still enough oil up top and on the cylinder walls to start with no issue.
I didn't like it at first, and on a stop and go commute I shut it off, but I do notice the fuel savings on my fairly rural runs around...
I hope you have better luck with Honda than I did. My 82 accord was fine. 87 accord - devoured rotors (5 sets in less than 70 k miles) dealer told me not to bring it back again. I found the alloy wheel was not true after I had to start looking for the trouble myself. The pgm fi light came on at...
I’m not sure I believe this. Was he towing it with something that has 50k ft-lbs of torque? There is no chance, even the dumbest driver in the road, would not know something was wrong. If you parked that Jeep on a 100% grade (45 degrees), with it in 4 low and fist gear, it wouldn’t move.
Yes, big mistake. If he wants/needs a full size truck he should get a Sierra/Silverado not the Ram. If he wants an awesome and fun utility vehicle he should get the Gladiator. My friends with Rams drool over my gladiator and Sierra, especially when they are at the gas station.
It is not broken on my JT or my wife’s RX350 (or on a dozen rental cars). It works just fine and I like regular CC far better. I keep the ACC desensitized to avoid being unwittingly slowed down
Big thumbs down on all ACC. On a not so busy highway it is horrible. Here is the scenario - CC set to 73 mph, driving in the Right lane and you are approaching another vehicle that is going say 65. ACC slows you down and you don’t realize it for a period of time a you are lulled into just...
Please tell me how you can compare the two? If you tighten something with one, the second one will not necessarily tell you anything g if the first one was out of calibration and over tightened the bolt.
Testing a torque wrench for proper calibration require more than another torques wrench.
