  1. Deal on oil?

Yes, through their site. Then you scoop up the oil at walmart for like $25 per 5 quart jug and I think the rebates were $10 back per jug or something. I cant remember what it came out to when all was said and done, but I think I paid around $40 total for 20 quarts. But I think the oil was a few...
  2. What's the competition got the Gladiator doesn't?

My wifes 2009 Legacy leaked from the valve covers. Getting the valve covers off required lifting the engine because it’s too close to the wheel wells and wouldnt lift off over the cams?‍♂️ I hated that car. It was heinously slow, but still could barely crack 25mpg even though it was shaped like...
  3. Deal on oil?

Pennzoil usually runs a rebate every year. I got like 20 quarts of the 0W-40 Euro for $38 or something stupid a year or two ago. You might just have to wait a little bit until they come out with the 2024 rebate.
  4. Did The New Tacoma Outflex the Rubicon?

I wish Toyota was putting the 3.4L in the Tacoma like the xrunner concept. The 2.4L is not all that interesting to me. Even if it was the derated one with a measly 409 ft-lbs like the Tundra SR, that would be more intersting.
  5. What's the competition got the Gladiator doesn't?

The regular ranger is getting the 2.7L with 315hp/400 ft-lbs as an option. While its not a ton more powerful than the 3.6L Pentastar on paper, I can tell you it feels a lot stronger. I have had several crew cab 4x4 F150 XLT rentals with the 2.7L and they are fast and legitimately sip fuel for a...
  6. What's the competition got the Gladiator doesn't?

They are having big issues with the A760 transmissions crapping the bed too and its NOT cheap to replace them. They were on national backorder for a while. I think Toyota's were super reliable when they had the weak ass motors in the 90's and very early 2000's, but once they started putting...
  7. What's the competition got the Gladiator doesn't?

toyota's do leak a lot and the Toyota fanbois love to just pretend its regular maintenance. My Lexus GX460 had the 4.6L V8 that was in the 2nd Gen tundra and they were known for rear main seal leaks, the valley cover plate, cam tower leaks. The radiators in the Toyotas like to fail around 125k...
  8. What's the competition got the Gladiator doesn't?

This is what I came to realize after driving a 2023 Colorado ZR2 and 2023 JTR EcoD the other day. On paper the ZR2 blow the Jeep out of the water in most respects(not counting extreme rock crawling) but the Gladiator was just a more enjoyable truck to drive and I wrote the ZR2 off after getting...
  9. New Oil Filter option for Diesel’s

i would agree somewhat, but im also guessing the filter media is the same across all filters of the same line. The XP’s do flow well but the Fram ultras are really close while offering the best filtering.
  10. Vs. 2024 ZR2... (Edit- Test Driven, opinions inside)

My 2006 Pontiac GTO 6 speed will be forever remembered. Wish I never sold it. I agree with you that the Jeep has that appeal. I went and test drove the ZR2 and then the next day went and test drove another JTR EcoD, and was giddy. My wife was like, just stop thinking about the ZR2, you didnt...
  11. Shop Labor Rates!!!

This. I see so many dudes on the Toyota groups on on who just bring their stock truck into a shop and have it fully built for them and don't have a damn clue how or what was done. Then when both tie rods snap on the first trail they are stuck.
  12. Diesel cooling options and ideas

You're looking at this wrong. Your 3.6L would be making 228hp where Chief Jeep(and also I) live in Park City UT. You would be foot on the floor to hold 45 mph, an Ecodiesel would be able to pull at 65mph, but would be cooling limited. The end result is the same. You're going 45mph. I would way...
  13. Diesel cooling options and ideas

Had you seen the extruded core one? They have two.
  14. Vs. 2024 ZR2... (Edit- Test Driven, opinions inside)

Best I can tell. Its a NiMh battery I believe so its probably a lot heavier, but still shouldnt be much more than 100 lbs. Then you have the motor, electronics and cooling system. The Powerboost is ~500 lbs.
  15. Vs. 2024 ZR2... (Edit- Test Driven, opinions inside)

Yeah, IDK. I felt like I was waiting for it the push me back in the seat based on the paper numbers, and it should have, but it just didnt. I went back and test drove a JTR EcoD the next day after the ZR2 test drive and my wife and I are both in agreement that the Jeep is the better truck for...
  16. Did The New Tacoma Outflex the Rubicon?

Most people dont need more than 35's. And when you have a short wheelbase its not as big of a deal. A Tacoma is a good 6-7" shorter than the JT.
  17. Did The New Tacoma Outflex the Rubicon?

That Tacoma isnt great but the 200 series Land Cruiser does a 661. A set of OEM control arms, CV's and tie rods off a 2nd gen Tundra gives you additional travel and with extended coilovers can get north of 12" of wheel travel on the IFS. Using OEM parts except the coilovers. A KDSS 4runner does...
  18. Did The New Tacoma Outflex the Rubicon?

The new Tacoma should fit 35's. They put a lot of provisions in there to make clearance in the wheel wells and the Body mounts are no longer in the way like they historically were.
  19. Should I switch from a JL 4xe to a JT Mojave?

Apparently until 2025 because someone at Jeep stated they would be doing a 4xe Gladiator for MY25.
  20. Diesel cooling options and ideas

No sure if anyone saw this but ColdCase has an extruded core radiator that is supposedly stronger than the standard units: https://www.coldcaseradiators.com/product/2018-2023-jeep-wrangler-jl-and-gladiator-jt-extruded-core-aluminum-radiator
