2023+ ZR2 shock position is moved closer to the tires.
The ZR2 has true lockers front and rear. I saw someone say the other day they thought the rear was a G80(which is a locker, just an auto locker) but its not.
I think a lot of the reason IFS teeters is because they are never setup right. At minimum the front bar needs to be disconnected, but I also think they need a rear sway bar connected to help force the IFS to do more of the heavy lifting. I am starting to see some people do this in the Toyota...
No. It is not. The Ranger is not getting the 2.7L until the 2024 model year which has not even hit lots yet. The only engine in the 2019-2023 ranger is the 2.3L Ecoboost.
Its kind of ironic that the year everyone else decides to start throwing half ton engines in their mid-sized trucks, Jeep...
30% would make things more interesting for me for sure as it would bring things in line with other products that are on the market or about to be.
In 2020 or 2021 there really wasnt much direct competition to the Gladiator. Especially an Ecodiesel Gladiator.
So you are paying to be noticed? I guess I am the opposite. I've always been attracted to obscure vehicles that arnt really noticed. I had a 2006 GTO that looked like a chevy cavalier, a 2007 Legacy GT, a Jeep Liberty CRD and a Lexus GX460. None of those vehicles stand out.
I personally do...
The tacoma V6 sucks. Its terrible. The V6 in the Colorado up to 2022 was ok. Way better than the Tacoma.
The new Colorado 2.7L HO has 310hp and 430 ft-lbs of torque. The new Ranger will have the Ford 2.7L at 315hp and 400 ft-lbs of torque. The thing is, those torque values come in at 1600 rpm...
Like he said, when you are at high elevations in the mountains, inadequate power can be an issue. Especially towing something like a travel trailer with a huge aerodynamic load. My house is at 6500' and so a 285hp pentastar would be making like 228 hp. I've been in headwinds with my F150 towing...
No, not a Colorodo fan boy, just not a Gladiator fan boy either. Calling it how it is.
Jeep has 15% off rebates and still can’t get the 2023’s off the lots which suggests I’m right, and you just like paying the Jeep tax, like the Toyota boys, for the honor to drive one ?
You are talking about the old ZR2. The new one has factory 285/70’s, just like a Mojave/Rubicon, and can run 315/70’s. Its DSSV shocks are the same as whats on the Bison. The Bison gets hydraulic bump stops in addition to the DSSV.
And that doesnt even get into the fact that the Colorado’s 2.7...
But whats a $70k mojave have that a non-Bison ZR2 doesnt have? The ZR2 is fully loaded at $52,800 pretty much. Adaptive cruise, LED headlights, lockers, heated wheel, electric adjustable leather heated and cooled seats etc.
You can't even make a Ranger Raptor $60k unless you tack on every dumb...
According to the dealers ive talked to, if they dont get the truck registered to owner within 2-3 days of the purchase happening, the dealer will lose money.
So yeah, they might be able to get it locked in a couple days before but thats it.
But the problem is a lot of the things you care about can be had in trucks costing 15-20k less but far better equipped. You also still have to daily drive the thing unless you just have spare cars and can park it until you actually need it.
Nothing about this truck suggests its worth $70000. it literally is $18000 more than a fully loaded Colorado ZR2 that has everything it does except a removable top.
Yeah they did extend it to the 31st. But the problem is there are still a ton of 2023's in transit to dealers. I am watching two Rubicon Ecodiesels that still have not arrived yet and are looking like they may not arrive before 1/31. There are probably 20 others I have found still in transit...
