I am taking a 3-day trip up to OR from MO. I have a 5 year old dog that doesn't love/hate car rides. He and I are going to OR for a month, luckily I can WFH and just work from my friend's place.
While I can certainly grab a pet-friendly hotel, I'm thinking about making this trip "epic"...
I got a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport S from my local dealer. It had 50 miles on it when I took possession. They did a bunch of upgrades...LED taillights, color matching fenders, upgraded wheels/tires.
I've noticed the "lane sway" on the highway, and it's not that bad...but I got used to it...
I bought a Sport-S that had the dealer do a bunch of upgrades. It's basically an Overland model now. The rear turn/brake lights were upgraded to the LED lights. However, the front headlights were the halogen lights. They looked pathetic.

I owned a 68 Pontiac Firebird..a 79 TA, and a 67 Chevy Chevelle. No electronics (nay the HEI distributor), but no computer...no sensors.
I've been stranded untold times by these rides. S happens. Electronics or not. Don't worry about it...and perhaps purchase AAA membership?
I totally agree with Dqban; these Occulus 9" headlights were complete plug/play with just a minor issue. It took about 45 minutes of casual work time to get them all swapped over. If you were in a hurry, you could knock them out in 30 minutes.
