Mine is currently wired like that to the right taillight. I do get the brake light flashing when the right turn signal is on and not with the left. Think I like the idea of adding the plug to the trailer harness and attaching to that.
I did wire the canopy internal lights to an aux switch and...
I guess the question I would have is that you put the rock jock on to improve articulation/travel and then you want to limit that with straps? Have you changed the brake line mount to the longer mount or removed bracket?
Bought mine from Selkirk Offroad in Sandpoint Idaho, a bit far for you. He is actually a Toyota guy and restores and upgrades land cruisers. https://selkirkoffroad.com Mine is just the shell/canopy. Not the full camper.
As said earlier, definitely adjust track bar. That will tell you how bad it is. Steering stop would be my next step and then maybe look into alternative control arms. You will hear varied opinions but mine is make the wheel spacers a last resort, especially with the tire and wheel combo.
Track bar adjusted?
Control arms installed correctly?
Enough lift?
Steering stop adjustment not a bad way to go.
Probably should be expected with that big of tire and 20" wheels.
I am looking for some improvement but very simple. Are those direct fit replacement? Just remove the cover, remove speaker, and replace, using existing screw holes and wiring?
You are welcome. You will really like this canopy. The light weight is great, my wife helped me set it on the Jeep and she is tall but not a big woman. Install not bad once you figure the shimming out but the brackets are top notch. I hate wiring so that was a bit of a pain but all in all...
I did. Just used a small strip of the soft rubber sticky sealant I had laying around. Seems to have worked, can't really see it once installed and no leaks.
Just in the very corner, not all the way across.
