Rev hang with the manual is described here:

Drives me crazy. When I let off the gas on a manual transmission vehicle I want instant compression braking. It almost feels like a safety...

In short, the GPEC2 can be tuned, the GPEC5 has yet to be cracked so cannot.
Between rev hang, throttle lag, and rumors of FCA detuning 6MT vehicles due to the clutch recall, I am considering a tune. Does anyone here have any experience with a tune on a manual transmission?
I'm fortunate enough to have a late 2022 build with the GSPEC2A.
Due to low miles driven, I have pay per mile insurance on my Gladiator and other vehicles. This requires a device in the OBD port, which can only be removed temporarily. Is there a full featured programmer that can be installed temporarily where the new settings remain after it has been removed?
Judging by the last 2 letters of the part it just looks like an update of the old pressure plate. NHTSA site still shows my VIN with an open recall. Not sure how I was able to drive this thing off the lot on 10/18 or why they would throw another bad clutch in at 250 miles.
To be clear, Im not suggesting it to anyone but rather doing this to my own vehicle. I live at the base of a long forest service road that connects to a couple thousand miles of logging roads where this vehicle will see most use. Good torque in second and third from 20mph to 55mph is the...
I've gone through the math and it should be ideal for my 75% off pavement (FS and logging roads), 15% in town, 10% highway, and 0% crawling use for the vehicle. I want good torque from 0-50 mph and 3k rpm max at about 75mph in 6th. It only looks like a radical change because these things are...
Does anyone know if there a mathematical way to equate torque based on gear ratio? I have 5.38s scheduled for installation later this month in my 6 speed Mojave. Plan to keep stock 33s. I am really curious how this will compare to say a 5.7 with 3.21s in a Ram 1500.
No, but I plan to follow up with them and post here. I was pushing them to get the work done and deliver the vehicle an hour away, so let the details on parts slide. I too am curious what exactly was done.
I don't do any crawling but do a couple thousand miles a year off-pavement on forest service and logging roads. Even with 4.10s the Mojave is really sluggish coming out of corners in third, and I don't want to run around in second all day. Currently it's a 4 speed with two useless overdrive...
Ordered 5.38s last week for my 6 speed. Shop is booked through Thanksgiving so I'll have to break in the engine and the gears back to back which is not what I had hoped for. Going to leave the stock 33s in place. By my calculations 3k in 6th will be 76mph which is adequate around here.
On 10/18 I purchased a new 2023 JTM. The dealer asked to get it back to make an update. Is there some intermediate fix that is available? It also appears I was able to drive off the lot with an open recall, which is frowned upon...
5th or 6th around 4500rpm and the clutch is definitely holding. If Jeep advertises and rates it to 50 mph, it should perform that way out of the box. I put down a deposit on 5.38 gears for install around Thanksgiving so this may resolve itself if 3rd becomes usable in 4H. Still not acceptable.
I know it sounds kind of trivial but it amounts to a 10% reduction in top speed in a range I regularly use. If it were 5 mph off the 2h top speed I wouldn't care at all.
Not sure it's Mojave specific as the Sport has the same 2.72:1 T-case and did a little over 50 mph. I think it's the...
