I got Key insurance from jeep when I bought mine I get 3 keys, I already replaced one so it paid for it self .... this is not the first time my wife has washed a set of keys ...

Combine that with arthritis (occasionally my hands to lock up painful) using crimpers are the worst, I honestly can't do much 12V anymore and I used to love to doing harnesses
my hands shake, I have tremors also I didn't know there was any thing they could do (at least the VA would have me believe that) Ironically when I solder or weld somehow I'm able to keep my hands almost still ... but i still need that Grinder lol

Not entirely true, While yes, after a rekey, the "remote " functions are no longer the same, the Physical Key and RFID do still work.
So if the tweeker knows where to find the OP's car can unlock the door and start the jeep by pressing the remote to the start button.

I use Tazer for the live function and JScan for any "permanent" changes. To use Jscan while
tazer is plugged in, you no longer need the gateway cables, you just connect the blue tooth dongle to the factory OBD2 port and tazer acts as a gateway!
