Not the Gladiator But my Mini Country man, I was chasing down a rattle that sounded like rear strut mounts (live on a dirt road) I took them out replaced them twice, tightened ever bolt, would shake the car, could not pin point where/what it was ... checked exhaust, adjusted the rear hatch, went...
I have done it with out the tool in a variety of ways, However The dorman style tool works the best to replace the fitting:
cut tube, press new fitting in tube
no clamp needed, factory quality
yes I was just showing the tool as its just $100 on amazon napa is like $130 the kit with all the fittings is pricey. As I said you can get them individually at napa so its a cheap way out without spending a lot
