I really like the bumper but I would think the ends of the bed sliders would fold like paper and contact the bed corner if you ever impacted them without any reinforcement where the now empty bolt holes are.
I did see that, the fiddly stuff doesnt bother me so much. Id rather it be a pain in the ass and look good than easy and look like I just dremeled a hole in the bumper in 2 minutes
Currently on the struggle bus with that one.
I don't want to cut a janky hole into the plastic, but it chaps my ass that its a $5 part with $10 shipping. Stupid reason, even as I type this it sounds like a stupid hill to die on.
Ill probably order bezel
I had a few F150s before I got the Gladiator and I dont regret it at all. The cab of the F150 feels too big. Im not small by anymeans at 6'3" 215lbs, the area between the door arm rest and the center console rest is too big. I want my elbows on both. Everything about the full size trucks are...
It worked on me, I saw the little blue Beadlocker hyper link he was dropping all over and next thing I know hes ringing me out on $180 of recovery gear
I stopped into the shop last Thursday while in the area and its really impressive. It's nice to have a semi local shop like that to visit and be hands on in instead of blindly ordering things online.
Im not sure about doors but there is a guy that just started an Overlanding shop of sorts near Sheboygan called Beadlockers. He might be able to order you something. Thats where I would start.
Poor advice.
If he was a lifer to the midwest maybe, but hes not. Hes gonna be a fish out of water the same as I would in the desert. The truck is capable sure, but if the guy behind the wheel isnt, it will get wrecked worse than any other vehicle that would have a hard time getting traction...
Thank them because Billet Silver is boooooorrrring.
but really Id just pick another color, you might ask them to throw in a mopar accessory for the trouble but given the current climate you may not get it.
Yeah, its such a tall soft spring I cant wrap my head around why anyone would go through the trouble of not using one. I figured there must be a reason but it appears there is not.
How?
tighten two nuts on a compressor
loosen two nuts on a compressor
vs
remove swaybar bolt
track bar bolt
brake bracket
axle actuator
breather hose
loosen control arm bolts
remove upper control arm heat shield
remove shock bolts
remove a few plastic clips
then reverse
why would you not...
Sounds good, I was just wondering. Ive used them a fair amount on cars and it doesn't look like you have to compress the spring much at all. A spring compressor ( used by a competent person ) seems like a significantly shorter install, with less hassle.
