another relatively local dealership also wanted 10% to order. when I said that's too much, he asked what I could do. So I offered what folks on here were putting down, and he replied, "No, thank you!". guess they're out!
I emailed them to clarify that, and also that I thought it was unreasonable given what it seems others had to put down. He said that was their policy. I said that’s too bad. Guess I won’t be getting it there.
how much did you have to put down to special order? one of the local dealerships mentioned that they require 10% non-refundable deposit for a special order + some special shipping fees as opposed to buying something already on the lot. that seemed a bit steep and somewhat unreasonable to pay...
I'm guessing then, looking at the tonneau cover, the crossbar system won't work? though I'm not sure how the mounts attach to the rail system. for me, that would be ideal.
watching this thread. doubt my local dealer is willing to "deal" at the moment. they sold a fairly loaded Rubi while it was still "in transit", so I see little reason for them to haggle, although they do have an Overland that had a "market adjustment" mark-up when they originally got it, that I...
Glad you were able to get what you wanted, for what you wanted. I’m still a few months out from ordering or searching, but I did test drive a stock Rubi the other day. Pretty much sold on one now. Just gotta line up a few ducks first. But will definitely check out Orange Coast if nothing up here...
how does it go over if you lease from one dealership but get service maintenance at another? say I lease from one these dealerships that are offering below MSRP prices, but none are near me. would there be an issue with my local dealership if I have to take it to them?
And not just fit comfortably in front, but also in the back seats. I'm 5/10", and it's tight in the back seat of a Tacoma. Push the seat back all the way for someone tall in front, and there is literally no leg room behind it. These 2 trucks are on my short list, though I'm pretty sure I know...
I'm a psychiatric RN, and I don't plan to use this for work. it will be a "daily driver", though I work close enough to home I either ride my bike or motorcycle half the time. this would be used mostly for hauling my mountainbike and me to rides, overlanding/camping, pulling a vintage trailer...
yep. still working on paying off a couple loans first, and then save for a better down payment. also hoping some of the bugs will be worked out by then. also "integrated brake controller" as pictured on the website will hopefully materialize by then. it's fun being an early adopter, but it does...
