Funny, I just posted in another thread about my steering wheel “grips”. Yes it’s a stock steering wheel but I wanted to get a cover / grips as it was a tad skinny for my hands. Looked at covers and separate grips. Decided on grips so I could still get some heat from the wheel on the cold days...

I actually got a set of steering wheel ‘grips’ that sort of snap on over the wheel and partially cover it. You can use them side to side or top and bottom. They still allow the heat to work and warm the steering wheel up, while actually providing some extra bulk and grip to the wheel itself...

I swear this group just keeps on giving . . . . also this is the most amazing visual explanation of my JT fuel economy I’ve seen so far. I finally did some highway driving last weekend and cracked the 300 mile range on a full tank. 😂🤣

My nut is deeper set down below the top line of the plastic surround. So you cannot get a wrench around it. The plastic effectively makes a separate raised collar around the nut. Your nut looks like it’s above the plastic, so that’s a heck of a lot easier to get to! Wish mine were like that.

Checked out your 813 pedal and that’s just insensitive of them showing that bolt with the nut so clearly and cleanly off it . . . . .

Thanks for the link. I don’t have a life and did go read it. It looks nice once you got it in there. I’m hoping it makes a bit of a difference once I get mine in. I’m 6’2 with back issues so having my leg comfortably stretched out at times would be a wonderful relief.

I actually wondered about that. So much bolt sticking out just find a nut that fits and mount it ‘above’ the existing nut.

Thank you. I tried an open end wrench and a crescent without luck. The plastic surround is deeper than it looks in the picture. I’ll get a set of deep well sockets, as I’m sure I’ll get use out them down the road too.

So I got a dead pedal to rest my left foot on while driving and spent some time this morning up in the footwell trying to install it. It didn’t go smoothly and wasn’t an easy job not least because, well . . . . access to the footwell isn’t great if you aren’t a tiny contortionist. I did manage...

Took my JT on her first road trip yesterday. Headed south down the highway, about 100 miles round trip. She looked great out in the Alaska wilds.
