Breakage will eventually happen and you will eventually get stuck, it's a part of the game.
No need to be afraid of it, embrace it and be prepared.
Some recommendations:
Bring a friend in another vehicle if possible.
Bring a toolset and a bunch of spare nuts, bolts, maybe some spare parts...
What I found is that it's more about the placement of the interior antenna relative to the location of your phone. You need to keep them very close to each other.
I put my interior antenna on the soundbar next to B pillar on the driver side and it seems to work fine. It took me multiple tries...
I’ll take them.
@ALT2870 would you be willing to bring them to Denver for $50 cash?
Alternatively, I could meet you @BeckBuilt around the CO UT state line.
You’re most likely right. I didn’t want to risk going through the whole ordeal again, so I returned the Mopar Aux Switch and ended up getting an aftermarket one.
Chrysler won’t even install the Mopar switch on 2021 and 2022 JTs as it’s only listed as compatible with 2020 model year.
I am not an engineer myself. All I can say is that my truck spent six weeks in the shop and that they weren’t able to get it out of limp mode until the PCM was replaced.
They also told me they weren’t able to clear the codes until the aux switch was disconnected.
What I don’t understand is...
It ended up being the PCM. Jeep finally tracked down the right part no., replaced the PCM and got me up and running.
The PCM was fried by the Mopar Aux Switch, which is only compatible with the 2020 model year PCM. I bough the switch from Quadratec, who originally listed it as 2021 compatible...
I am looking to upgrade to 35s too, but 12.5s are out of spec for the stock rims, which is a no-go for me. I don't want to hand my insurance company a get-out-of-jail-free card in case I ever get into a serious accident.
I double checked and triple checked the pin location before plugging in the connector, but yes, there's always the possibility that I screwed up wiring.
Or it could be down to Aux Switch's incompatibility with the 2021 JT. I bought it from Quadratec, which lists it as compatible with the 2021...
It all started when I installed the Aux Switch from Mopar. It looks like it isn’t compatible with the new PCM.
My truck went into limp mode and threw a few dozen error codes as soon as I installed the switch. They suspect it fried the PCM, but it’s their best guess at best.
Could you keep me...
I've been reading this forum for a while, but this is my first post. Great to meet you all!
I wanted to check if anyone's had any issues finding a PCM compatible with their 2021 JT 3.6l?
My 2021 Gladiator that I got five weeks ago has been in the shop at a local dealership for over 3 weeks...
