Excellent idea! My humble opinion, I would change the lock lugnut out for a normal nut. Drill through the carriage bolt at the end and insert a keyed lock to keep the nut from being unscrewed. Not perfect, just makes it a little harder to help keep the honest people being honest. 😂

Are you happy with your decision, and like the new Gladiator, or are you regretting getting rid of your old Gladiator? I hope you’re happy with the new one. There is nothing worse than paying for something that you’re not happy with and having regrets.
