My memory back in the 80ās when I started off-roading in East Texas. I remember when 33ās were the normal upgrade size. 36ās (which are rare now) were considered big, and 44ās were the extreme. I honestly donāt remember seeing 35ās and 37ās then. I did see a few 40ās, but they were extremely rare.
It seems odd to me that they are trying to get you to stay in the Gladiator. I would think they would WANT you to buy a new Dodge truck. If you like your Gladiator then it sounds like a good deal to me.
Iāve always driven EVERYTHING like I stole it. Even straight off the lot. Break it in like youāre going to drive it is my opinion. A lot of people think Iām crazy for that. To each their own. Every vehicle I have ever had has lasted, and given me no major problems running them like that. All of...
Iām with you on not trying to cause problems, or animosity. If Iām not mistaken in the video when he tried to order a cam there were 12,000 on back order. That sounds like a LOT more than just a few percent that are failing. Even taking into account how many they would order to have in supply...
Thanks, I didnāt know that. Too bad they lumped them together. Thatāll definitely make it harder to win. I didnāt know the gen 1 was having problems too, except for the oil filter unit. š
Iām with the mechanic. I canāt believe there hasnāt been a class action lawsuit on this. There is obviously a problem with this set up. At least have replacement parts available.
Curious, was the older 3.6 engines doing the same thing? I had a 2013 JKUR with the 3.6 that had 117,000 miles on it...
Iām wondering if there will be a new Gladiator in the future? Have the sales been good enough to keep it around, or is this the only style thereāll be?
After extensive searching that was the only numbers I could find for dimensions of the 6.4, they might not be correct. Hell, it could be the dimensions for the crate being sent. The numbers were on

I know this doesnāt take pulleys, larger radiators, intercoolers, etc. into account, but here we go. The sizes I am giving are for engines only.
6.4 Hemi dimensions: 42x42x48
3.0 Hurricane dimensions: 33.9x29x33.4
So in theory, the 3.0 should be able to fit into the JT.
We all know the 6.4 fits...
I agree with your wife. I like it too!
I understand what youāre saying. Adjustable might be your best bet. Especially the ability to change from normal driving, towing, back roads, and off road.
Itās all according to the color of the vehicle for me. They look great on the blacked out Gladiator. On my Sarge green I chose the red, I like the way they stand out, instead of blacked out. Just my personal choice. I wouldnāt have a problem running tinted if I felt it fit the color of my...
Why donāt you use your fox 2.5ās that came stock on your Mojave?
Oh waitā¦itās a Rubicon with Mojave orange, you blasphemer, you! The horror! š
All seriousness, beautiful Jeep!
I have used the Bilstein 5100ās on numerous vehicles and have always been happy with them. I have a set on my dually...
The problem as I see it with the younger generation, isnāt really a problem, except they donāt buy Jeeps like we had to. I know here in my part of Texas the younger generation is going off road just as much as we were. Now they have a LOT more options than we had. You go to any 4 wheel park...
I looked up the 2024 ram 1500 gas mileage. This is straight ICE. This is the new body style not the classic.
The average it gets with the 3.6 with 4wd is 21 mpg.
The average it gets with the 5.7 with 4wd is 19 mpg.
The best overall is the 3.6, 2wd hybrid with 23 mpg.
The worst the 5.7 makes is...
What really blows me away is it says the emissions for the 3.6 and 5.7 are the same per gallon. If thatās the case then why are they getting rid of V8ās? I guess because the V8 is less efficient.
