  1. What's the heaviest thing you've towed? How did the Jeep handle it?

Just towed my Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 (fully loaded) on a single axle trailer. I hit the mountains of Utah. Power was there.. it handled it well, but the trailer seemed to push the JT around.. but that could be 1) the lift + tires or 2) the fact that I'm used to towing with an 800HP Ram 3500...
  2. How did you negotiate your purchase?

Cash, on the spot speaks volumes! Having an 800+ credit score helps too, even though I didn't need them to run my credit. Pisses me off that dealers still put you through the grinder even when you're not trading in, nor financing!
  3. Why did you buy your Gladiator?

Wife was still rocking her 2001 Toyota 4Runner LTD. We kept it in pristine shape. A few years ago, she commented she'd really like a lifted Jeep, but hated the idea of losing the ability to haul stuff (dogs, luggage, etc). 3 weeks ago, I took her to look for a replacement, we saw the JT on...

  7. What's under the back seat of a Sport S?

At least on my SPORT-S, the seats lock. The key hole is near the head-rest and once locked, prevents the seats from being opened up/lifted/folded down.
  8. Step Rails

Due to the 3" Lift and 37" tires and the fact that my wife is 5 foot nothing, I needed something that would help her get into the Jeep. Went with these:
  9. Day 90 Report. JT Rubicon on the road. 17,000 miles.

I did a drive from Utah to Vancouver Island and declared my .40 pistol at the border. I was surrounded by Mounties, told to check-in and have them hold the gun while I was in country. Upon leaving, they literally gave me the pistol back and asked that I hold it up in the air as I walked back to...
  10. Day 90 Report. JT Rubicon on the road. 17,000 miles.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing the excursion and feedback on the Gladiator. I too am former (only did 10 years) US Army (SSG/E-6), but I'm now working in CyberSecurity (which is a 24x7x7 job these days). I'm hopeful in ~2 more years, I'll be done with this line of work, buy an RV park and maybe...
  11. Someone post tonneau cover for a tacoma or some vehicle that fit the gladiator for $150 what was it?

Here's mine.. Not inexpensive, but it took ~5 minutes to install. Literally took longer to get it out of the box & packaging:
