  1. DIY hemi swaps!?!

Interesting, switching to manual I wonder if towing capacity drops.
  2. Rear locker engaging automatically in 2H

@Zdevil13 , I understand your frustrations but you can put to bed any notions of @JeepCares changing anything on FCA's side. This is a problem that predates the JT and they haven't fixed it yet. It's highly unlikely they ever will. If it was going to be addressed it already would have but since...
  3. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

Rear end was replaced yesterday. I suppose now the countdown begins to see when/if it happens again. I did notice this falls under the power train warranty so it's covered for 5/60 rather than 3/36 so that's good news if it's a recurring issue.
  4. Driver's Door Electrical Connection

Maybe if we all get in our spouse's vehicles and go test drive a JT and JL at every local dealership and have the salesman show us how "easy" it is to remove the doors enough will be damaged on the dealer's dime that they'll take action to get it corrected.
  5. Driver's Door Electrical Connection

I found this with what @ShadowsPapa provided. Bulletin
  6. Driver's Door Electrical Connection

Crazy customers repeatedly bending or breaking the same pins. It's almost like there's an engineering flaw causing a very specific problem or something. Thank you @ShadowsPapa for sharing the specifics. Hopefully some folks affected by this can use that for some self help.
  7. Driver's Door Electrical Connection

Just so everyone is aware, I have confirmation that the bulletin from FCA to dealers does in fact exist. The folks who have access to this document have been specifically forbidden from sharing it with customers under threat of criminal prosecution. If you have a good relationship with your...
  8. Driver's Door Electrical Connection

@JeepCares , this is where you need to get with engineering as you stated earlier in the thread you do. This comes off as blatantly anticonsumer and borderline fraudulent. If the issue is common enough that you have to issue a bulletin to your dealer network explaining it's the users fault, quit...
  9. Driver's Door Electrical Connection

@JeepCares , that's exactly the issue. I elevated my case to Cairs via the 800 number and what I got in return was a sales pitch from my "representative" telling me how benevolent FCA was offering to do a good will repair for "only" $200. This problem is not a case of customer abuse, it is not...
  10. Rear locker engaging automatically in 2H

It's a widespread issue that goes back to JL rear ends, thus the override plug assembly. A lot of people have been denied a fix since they regeared their Rubi. Since FCA won't make the sensor available, people who have modified their vehicle are stuck living with it, replacing their rear end or...
  11. Driver's Door Electrical Connection

@eaglerugby04 , it's tough to say as we really don't know why the pins are getting messed up to begin with. I assume it's happening when the plug is being assembled but for all I know the pins bend if they're unplugged and it's warmer than 100 degrees or something whacky like that. You will lose...
  12. Driver's Door Electrical Connection

I wish more people would refuse to pay to fix this. It is clearly a defect in the design and if they can get away with not fixing it on their dime they will. I elevated my case and was told to pound sand by FCA because the dealer claimed outside influence. Why in the world would I pay them to...
  13. Warranty Issues

Man, I hate to hear that. I hope you're at least able to recoup some of the cost from the selling dealer. Dealers will make or break you with the FCA warranty. A good dealer will get you covered, the slimeballs will claim outside influence and screw you. However, when dealing with aftermarket...
  14. Rear locker engaging automatically in 2H

@gsxr310 , hate to hear you're stuck in a Nissan but at least they're getting you sorted out. Kind of surprised they have you in a rental as rear ends were in short supply last I heard. Mine still hasn't come in and the dealer ordered it over a month ago. I think someone previously stated theirs...
  15. Have any of you guys noticed hood fluttering at high speeds?

I've noticed some but not near as bad as my JK. I was disappointed to see it as I thought the updated latches were a huge improvement over the JK. Hasn't been enough to make me cough up the coin for replacements though.
  16. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

Dealer stated "outside influence" and according to the useless FCA rep their hands are tied at that point. No one will ever convince me I'm responsible for them not functioning correctly but if I want them to I have no choice but to deal with it on my own at this point. I'll be damned if I'm...
  17. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

Unfortunately FCA doesn't see it that way. They're of the screw you mindset on this one. Doors were on and off my JK hundreds of times without issue but they went "fancy" on this new plug and turned it to crap. I'll get around to replacing them soon, just need work to settle down a bit first.
  18. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

I haven't had time to replace the door plugs yet. I've found some that I believe will do the job but don't want to order until I have the time to do the work. It does look like it will be a minimum of two plugs per door as the only plugs I've found that can handle all the different circuit...
  19. Georgia Jeepers Rock!

Just got back from visiting my newborn granddaughter in Georgia and I couldn't help but notice, I got a nearly 100% wave rate. Georgia folks still seem to have that Jeep love in 'em. Thanks for being awesome Georgia jeepers.
