  1. Rear locker engaging automatically in 2H

IIRC, there's a thread over on the JL side detailing where the sensor is and how to seal it up properly before install. There's also a wiring harness that runs just shy of $200 that will override the sensor should you have an issue and not want to deal with it.
  2. Rear locker engaging automatically in 2H

If you install them you'll be without warranty coverage anyway.
  3. Rear locker engaging automatically in 2H

When the fix for a poorly manufactured sensor is to replace an entire rear end you can only keep rear ends available for so long. Throw in a little CV19 and yeah, who knows when you'll get it. New rear end allocation is prioritized to production. Us losers who already paid for a truck will just...
  4. Rear locker engaging automatically in 2H

I'd say if they've had it a week they're fishing for a reason to not cover it. First dealer I took mine to had it for almost a week and finally came back with it was my door plugs and I needed to pay $553 to get them fixed. Second dealer had it checked and the rear end ordered in about 30...
  5. Rear locker engaging automatically in 2H

Rear end ordered for mine this morning. ETA 9/25/20 Uhg
  6. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

FCA has decided they have no obligation to repair their garbage connector so I will be sourcing something more reliable. There's 3 different gauges so I need to decide if I want to go with 2 plugs or 3. I'll update this thread when I have sourced appropriate connectors. FCA can suck a high hard...
  7. Lease Price

Careful comparing lease payments. Taxes on those payments varies wildly across the country. Edmonds has a pretty decent lease calculator and lease hack had good information as well.
  8. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

My doors were on and off my JK a lot and I never once had an issue. As you yourself stated, an awful lot of people are having an issue with the JL and JT plug. I'm betting most of them had previous Jeeps as well. I suppose the Jeep crowd may have suddenly been infected with incompetence but...
  9. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

Exactly, the damn thing aligns itself. How in three Neptunes did I have anything to do with it screwing up? You can't do it wrong therefore it's a defect.
  10. Damn...Cited for no doors and wide tires.

I'd let you borrow my wheels and tires if you weren't so far. Anyone in Maryland that can help a brother out to pass inspection?
  11. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

@Jeeperjamie , if you open your door and then the act of closing it busts the door latch, your contention is that you should have to pay for the door latch because you opened the door? If not, why not, it's the same thing isn't it? The door was closed when it left the factory, you opening it...
  12. Lease - price of jeep

General rule with purchasing a vehicle is to negotiate one at a time in this order, vehicle price, trade in value (not to be mentioned in determining vehicle price,) financing(not to be discussed in prior steps.) Once you've informed them you're leasing, they know they've lost some ability to...
  13. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

While I hear what you're saying, I can't say as I agree. But, if we go with your contention that I messed it up shouldn't it have blatantly obvious? It took them three days to determine that I damaged the harness. How can an end user deal with a plug that doesn't go together correctly without...
  14. Door Pins and Rear Locker(Poll Included)

Ok, dropped my JTR off Sunday night. My mirrors weren't working, the dome light wasn't coming on when opening the passenger door and I have the dreaded "service rear locker" light. Service advisor called this morning to inform me that the pins are damaged on the door harness and they want me to...
  15. Is it dorky to only take off the front doors?? POLL

True Jeepers only have 2 doors. Sorry, couldn't help myself. I like to pull the doors and the rear window but leave the top up to protect me from the Louisiana inferno. 2 or 4 removed, it's all good.
  16. Damn...Cited for no doors and wide tires.

Beach town sees opportunity to steal cash from tourists, bingo, new ordinance requiring doors on vehicles that will come to town to run the beach with the doors off. Why am I not surprised?
  17. Best trail aps

Gaia needs to be tossed into a lake of fire to languish for all eternity! Are you one of the majority of cell users in the US who runs Android, then Gaia is not for you. iOS only if you want integration with your head unit(CarPlay). No plans for Android Auto development. Sucks to pay for a 5...
  18. Hitch not installed

According to the manual the Rubicon is the only model that doesn't have different tow ratings for with and without the tow package so perhaps you're ok. The only tow rating change on the Rubicon is manual vs automatic transmission.
  19. Hitch not installed

The tow package is not just the hitch. The vehicle gets upgraded cooling as well as alternator iirc. Be careful what you tow in what conditions as overheating could well be an issue for you without the cooling upgrades.
