No, the configurator on jeep.com shows a green when you select Gator as a color choice. No one assumed it, Jeep showed it then announced it was a completely different color than the one the configurator shows to this day.
It doesn't get any more green in the sunlight. There's pictures of a Gator that's been delivered in the "Waiting for Gator" thread and the green actually washes out in the sun. As I stated in that thread, would have been nice if Jeep would have represented the actual color in the configurator. I...
Gobi's a good bit lighter than the Gator. Wish the configurator had shown the proper color for Gator as I probably would have gone with the Gobi or Sting Grey. Oh well, live and learn, at least I'm getting a Gladiator. FWP
I've been checking with Jeep chat once a week for status updates but now that I know they're in production I'm having a hard time waiting. I reached out to Jeep chat Monday(D1) and then the dealer yesterday(D1). Is bugging Jeep chat once a day too much? Am i gonna get put on a "that guy" list?
It's my understanding that the only reason those axles are offered on the Sport trim is to get the tow rating up and most of the tow rating is based on having the automatic transmission programming in place. I really wanted the 6 speed but even on the Rubicon with the axles the tow rating drops...
I had originally planned to pull it off the JK and use it on the JT but when I pulled up the detailed pictures there are dimensional differences that appear to be drastic enough to prevent it from fitting properly on the JT.
Anyone know a manufacturer making a bumper similar to the one from Quadratec above? I have the JK version now and would like to order similar for my JT but don't want to wait until January to get it.
If I were to guess, the first ones down the line would be the least configured so if something was wrong, the value of held up inventory would be lower. Merely a guess however.
