Yes, a Sport S will have a "Sport" badge on the tailgate and the window sticker will say it's the Sport model with 24S option package. If it has manual windows and locks its a base Sport. Otherwise not.
They did a bad job of differentiating them on the window sticker is the main thing. All of the marketing materials talk about the Sport S as a distinct trim level, but the window sticker makes it look like a base Sport with an optional "24S" option package and the badge on the truck says...
I'm very interested in this as well, particularly if it has the tow package. I've gathered in other threads here that FCA is not allowing dealers to order base Sport JTs for stock (only custom orders for specific customers). I haven't seen a single base Sport show up on Jeep's "search new...
Were you looking at a base Sport model? The premium soft top, at least, has never been available as an option for the Sport through Jeep's build and price tool. You have to move up to a Sport S or above to get that for some reason. That may be true for the headliner too (just not something...
I'm here :)
I would refute the empty trophy case, but there's a lot of truth there unfortunately. We've technically been to the Superbowl several times, but the last time they went (and lost) I was less than a year old. Hey, at least the Twins have won it all a few times ...
Does anyone know if the mechanism is the same between the base soft top and the premium one? Does Jeep or Bestop normally offer just the cloth parts separately from the mechanismj (e.g. in case someone rips their top fabric)? Sorry if that's a dumb question, but I'm new to the Jeep world. I'm...
Still appreciated by us Hydro Blue fans patiently waiting for our turn. It's nice to see the Punk'n Gladiators rolling off the line, though. That's my second favorite JT color.
Huh, it's not working for me anymore even when I log in. But they were on the list and are the same as the ones for the JL. Quadratec has them listed as in stock, mopar part #82215136AD. Note these are just the headlights, though the LED foglights are also available separately and LED...
It's entirely possible we'll have to wait until our preferred combination (Sport manual with tow package for me) hits a dealer lot so someone can check out the payload rating on the door sticker. There are a lot of combinations so I suppose it was difficult to distill them all into a simple...
I would probably add the proximity locks, but I know some people don't like them (I really like that feature on my daily driver). That's the only option that tempts me on the Overland. By the way, the LED headlights are on the Mopar accessories list, so your dealer should be able to swap them...
Thanks @KVJ
I should have clarified that I can see that there are probably two sets of springs available - softer ones that give you a 5800 lb GVWR and stiffer ones that give you a 6250 lb GVWR. The Sport S manual, either Sport max tow, and Rubicon get the stiffer springs. The other trims...
That would make some sense - probably to reduce sag. The most confusing thing to me, though, is it appears that adding the regular tow package to the Sport S manual transmission lowers the payload from 1600 lbs to 1200 lbs. I just don't see why that would be.
Actually, no, both sources above indicate that max tow results in a slightly decreased payload. That makes sense since the wider axles, beefier components, and mandatory slushbox will add weight. Jeep has advertised from the beginning that max payload is 1600 lbs and both sources above...
I've been puzzling over this as well. The brochure seems to indicate that max payload is only available on a Sport S with manual transmission and no tow package. The next line down shows a 450 lb drop in GVWR with the addition of the tow package (no idea why this would be). The TFL chart...
This all depends on your preferences and accessories. I don't remember the last time I had a use for a 12v socket, so I have no desire to keep it. I've used both aftermarket and factory integrated brake controllers in the past - to me a factory integrated controller looks a lot better and is...
