Exactly. I wanted the feature, which is very nice btw and doesn't rip up the trail either if used lightly, and asked them. They told me no... bam, now they did it.
"You can mostly lock your front differential by applying brake pressure with your left foot while you climb or traverse. It works great, and people underestimate the effectiveness."
This is false, an open differential is always 50:50 meaning both outputs receive the same torque since torque...
It depends on the geometry, but you can have a shorter than links shock that will compress and extend depending on travel. Similar to short long arm suspension that changes camber through travel.
what’s cool about that is it would only actuate when both wheels move in the same direction...
I’m talking about in low range. Does it start off in 2nd when you shift into low range or 1st. Mine goes into 2nd unless I use off road plus or shift it down.
my thinking is that a rubicon in 2nd low is about the same crawl ratio as a sport in 1st low. But you’d still have the deeper gearing...
Does anyone know what gear the 2.7:1 transfer case starts off on? My Rubicon starts off in 2nd, which is a 52:1 crawl ratio iirc, unless I manually put it into 1st or use off-road+. I’m wondering if the Rubi does this to even itself out with a Sport, or maybe the Sports start off in 2nd as well.
BLD is just traction control. If you snap a shaft it won’t work.
an lsd isn’t a locker. A locker can divert 100% of torque to the wheel with the most traction while an lsd can only bias as much as the clutch pack can handle.
lockers maximize axle grip and help prevent wheel slip. An e locker...
An avalanche design would have been amazing with a 4' bed. Collapse the bed/cab bulkhead to get a 6' bed or massive interior with a camper shell while saveing 4-6" of length by combining the two "tubs" and loping off the back foot of overhang. Honestly the hood is longer than it needs to be as...
That’s weird since Subaru has black listed them and they don’t get press vehicles from Subaru to test. They’ve gotten a couple Subarus from others over the years and even bought one.
I think overall they are pretty fair albeit buy into marketing hype and brand names too much. There aren’t any...
Yeah, my roof keeps coming off! Terrible build quality. My windshield has even fallen forward a couple times. Though, unlike some other unlucky souls, my doors have yet to fall off.
I'm about to get the JT reverse lights in tomorrow. What are the stock reverse light lumens? I went camping and couldn't see anything and just ordered it that night. Was a tough decision between these and visionx, but I don't want to wire the things up and don't think I need headlight output so...
exactly, which is why I often times will just turn off the engine in drive and shift to park afterwards, but then I have to turn off the ignition again.
