I'm really interested in the Coverking headliner, also. Can't wait for a review on them, but I guess I will have to! I really like the finished look and was wondering if you could install the Sound Assassin strips with it.
I had the Tuffy insert in my 2013 JKU and really liked it. I pulled it out when I got rid of the JKU. I wish I could have used it in my JT, but size matters. Now it is just sitting on a shelf.
I don't think the locksmiths, I contacted, wanted to mess with it. You would have thought that they would have drilled the cylinder out and replaced them. Most of them work out of vehicles and come to you, so I don't know if that is the issue.
I guess I will go ahead and order two cylinders. I might have a locksmith drill the old cylinders out and do the installation. I have never drilled lock cylinders out, and don't want to screw anything up.
Thanks! Everybody that puts them on here to sell, just goes by what they read when others have posted and not 1st hand knowledge. It great to know how you did it. I thought I was going to have a $500 non-locking bin. I know I couldn't sell mine after I found out I couldn't get it re-keyed as...
I asked Benny with ALLMOPARPARTS.COM if it could be re-keyed and this is several e-mails from him.
You would need to start with a new cylinder to have it coded to match. Chances are the locksmith cannot disassemble an existing one without the key.

Me: Could you give me the part...
The locksmith just got back with me and said he couldn't find out how to work on it. Suggested I contact the manufacturer. I told him I didn't speak Chinese, or Spanish. Don't really know where it is made.
