Hey there, happy Easter. If I could ask, why are you selling these? Reason I ask is that I just bought some (wish I had seen yours first) and they came in damaged. FedX is picking up this week and another set is being sent out. They appear to be good quality but were severely dented upon...
That is correct, and I too was worried about an impact with something causing the aluminum to bend or crack. Not so, according to RockHard, their bumper is made through a process (that only he can explain) so that it will not crack or splinter with small bumps and then it is baked in some oven...
Hey Alan, after talking with RockHard over the phone (super nice, helpful folks), I decided to go with them, partly because their bumper is aluminum vs steel, which saves 100 lbs. If I put a steel bumper, winch, light etc. on that front bumper, it will be close to 300 lbs which is sure to mess...
Yes, absolutely yes, get Tread Lightly now cause you have to be a member 30 days before you can get your authorization number for the discount. But you can get that number even the day before you pick it up, supposedly its quick and easy (I will find out soon). I called Tread Lightly and...
About to order one myself, been looking at all the other brands. Any reason you chose steel or aluminum? Jason at RockHard says most people order aluminum, which is 100 lbs. lighter. He explained the process for making them, which sounded good, but then again, I am a newbie.
I ordered mine from Gupton Motors (Daniel) and it should be to the dealership in about 2-3 weeks. Really only takes about 8 weeks to save a BUNCH of money. Your choice.
Thanks for the reply. But if you take off the shackle attachments, where will you put your safety cables? I was planning on attaching them to the D Rings as Rock Hard instructed. But Rock Hard does not make a bumper with a built in light strip in the loop and I was afraid if I just clamped...
Hey Alan, I am trying to set up my Gladiator Mojave which should arrive in about 4 weeks. Going to tow it behind a Tiffin Phaeton. Also looking at the Rock Hard as I want a winch and a LED strip light. But as you said, $1400 is a little pricey. Did you go with the Rugged Ridge and if so...
hey Matt, I just ordered a new Mojave a few weeks ago and I will be flat towing it also. I have a bunch of questions. Anyway can speak to you by phone?
Thank you very much, that is pretty close to the build I am doing. Quick question on two items: 1. Leather, I was thinking about getting the Katskins added later instead of factory leather cause the gray leather is too light and will get dirty quick. Heard any bad things about Katskins?
2...
Hey Folks, ordering my long awaited 2021 Mojave tomorrow. Anybody got any last minute suggestions for what TO put on it or what NOT to put on it? You guys are the experts, let me know!
I am about to order a 2021 Mojave to flat tow behind a motorhome. I want to put what we used to call a camper or topper shell on to protect our stuff while camping and traveling. Has anyone put one of these on their Gladiator and if so, which brand and style? Looking for guidance on the best...
I don't know the answer on extended warranties as I usually do not get one. But I will ask and post when I know. And as far as the distance thing, that won't really be a problem for me soon as I am selling our house and moving to Tennessee east of Knoxville. So that would be a short drive.
