  1. Temp gauge maxed in red right after start up

Trust me, I get it. The initial problem happened when the truck was cold, and the new situation happened when the truck was cold, as well. That's why I'm going with the original issue first (coolant temp sensor) since it's just a $30 part and a half hour of my time. @ShadowsPapa presented...
  2. Quick Release Tonneau Cover?

I have/had the Bestop tonneau. It's actually for sale since I got a topper. Takes 5 mins to remove- I had to remove it when I got the topper installed. Too bad you're in NC, otherwise I'd cut you a sweet deal.
  3. Temp gauge maxed in red right after start up

As soon as I'm up and running, I'm ordering the Genesis dual battery set up.
  4. Temp gauge maxed in red right after start up

It's not the ESS that I'm super concerned with. ESS is working again, but I got an error for adaptive cruise control when I started it up today. Sorry, forgot to mention that. So, overall, it has gone from normal temp ->"boiling" on gauge->zero temp on gauge->no ESS->CEL->"boiling" on gauge...
  5. Temp gauge maxed in red right after start up

Truck has sat for the last 2 days. I just started it up, CEL is on, temp gauge is now working..... Gonna try to get a coolant temp sensor from the local dealer tomorrow (if they have it) but now I'm wondering about electrical gremlins since it's working again.... or back to potential battery...
  6. Temp gauge maxed in red right after start up

@ShadowsPapa always quick on the draw with tech info! I appreciate it- gonna start there, if anyone has one in stock. Thank you, sir!
  7. Temp gauge maxed in red right after start up

Ok, so I wanna see if anyone has had a similar situation. We are away at our cabin property, and I started the JT up, then the temp gauge was maxed out within a minute or so. I shut it down, popped the hood, and temp seemed normal. Waited a bit, started it up, then the gauge read zero degrees...
  8. Unbiased opinions.

Depends on what your needs and wants are. I like my JTR and my wife's Bronco 2 door pretty equally, but in different ways. Here are my preferences after having both for at least 6 months: Truck capabilities- JTR, obviously Riding comfort- Bronco On road suspension/handling/steering- Bronco Off...

90% of those assholes have probably never heard of Moab, so I'm sure that helps to keep the secret within the circle.

Thanks for this, @aceisback - my old ass didn't know what a bro dozer was, either. Saved me the extra typings on the inter webs.

  14. Ugly or no?

Nice looking JT you got there.
  15. Ugly or no?

Well played, @ShadowsPapa - I try not to drive naked often, but when I do, I typically keep the doors on, lol.
  16. CarlinKit 3.0 Wireless CarPlay Adapter on sale for $50!

Do you have yours connected to the the USB ports below the radio, or in the console? I know I've had performance issues with the console port in the past, so I wonder if this would work there.
  17. My 35 inch tires!!

Great looking rig and wheels- I plan to put them on my 66 GMC step side after I finish my motor swap.

  19. Blasphemy? These two live in harmony…. Gladiator + Bronco

I'm on the same page with you, being that I don't like the look of stock Jeeps. Especially the stock wheel/tire/suspension Jeeps that look like someone's Amazon cart full of stick on accessories and LED lights, threw up on it. That "skipped leg day" look drives me nuts on any 4wd vehicle, and...
