I had the stock audio system with the 5" radio. I replaced the radio with a 7" Alpine w android auto/car play. I also swapped out the dash and roll bar speakers with Kicker speakers and added the sub. It's not anything crazy, but just what the truck needed. Now my wife wants to take it more often.

Only thing I really wish this unit had is the ability to download any apps like the Insane Audio. I would love to install the DJI Fly app for my drone and see if I could plug the controller into the media hub and use the head unit's screen for the flight display instead of my phone. This is also true. I found limited options for one-and-done solutions that integrate this well, granted I don't keep up with this stuff like I used to.

How do you like the pods? I really dont like making modifications I cant return to stock, so I'd like to avoid cutting up the sound bar.

I think it means you'd need to cut the hole for a separate 1" tweeter if you are using component speakers vs a two or three way speaker.

Fyi- Alpine sells this head unit in a complete kit now that has the Gladiator maestro module, wire harness, back up camera adapter module, dash trim and a new media hub with 2X usb and 1X hdmi. I put it in last night and everything worked on startup. Steering wheel controls, usb ports, back up...

I have the i407-wra-JL coming tomorrow to replace my 5" uconnect. I almost pulled trigger on the Stinger, but at the end of the day I wanted something a little less conspicuous than a 9 or 10 inch while still having a lot of the smart features.
