That’s on my list of places to check out- Naples, Bridgeton, Lovell, Harrison etc. I’m right on the Ma/ NH border and have never really spent any time in the Maine Lakes region. Looks nice from what I’ve read online. I’d love to hear some input from a local. Ive been to the NH Lakes region but not Maine except the coast
You absolutely should. I'll tell you anything you want to know about the area. It's beautiful and will always be my home. I grew up in Lovell, moved back after I got married and raised my own family there, and currently reside in neighboring Fryeburg to be closer to the Academy for my kids. My daughters were the 8th generation of my family to graduate from Fryeburg Academy and my son will as well. There are really two Maines; the coastal, and the vast and rugged interior, which is what Henry David Thoreau wrote about. Each special in their own ways.

They are still not overly popular here. But I'm starting to see a few more on a daily basis. In four months of ownership I have yet to see another Nacho Gladiator other than two I saw on two different dealer lots. I'm good with that. It's a head-turner for sure. I notice other Gladiator owners as well as Wrangler owners doing double takes. Lol

It's been fun watching them pop-up more and more over the past two years.

Every drive/trip around and I see at least one. Often multiple. I'm in a decently rural area of Georgia, but when you get into Milton, Alpharetta, Roswell I see them all the time.

Within two miles of here there are two owners.

What I also saw, that I never expected to see, was a Gladiator at Atlanta Motorsports Park being used as the tow vehicle for the track car. Sitting on 40s as well.

I'm glad the platform is continuing to do well.

I only ever saw one around here. It was a Sting Gray Rubicon lifted on 37's. I saw it and went and got one the next day. Now I see them everywhere, its crazy.

I'm in Fryeburg, near the New Hampshire border. There are tons of Jeeps up here in general, but seems like in last few months the Gladiator population has exploded. Local dealership sells the Gladiators they get in within a couple weeks. They don't have any right now. Hell, I think they even sold the $77k AEV Gladiator they had out there, don't recall seeing it out there when I drove by earlier this week.
I'll wave if I see you. We went to Lovell for the first time in 2010 on a summer trip after we moved from FL to VA. We have been back every year since. We have a place in Lovell now and are there off and on throughout the year. Mainly in the summer for the lake and the winter for skiing at Sunday River. I did get to spend a week there last October hunting grouse and woodcock. My youngest goes to college next year so I am hoping to be able to spend a lot more time there this fall.
I picked up my first Jeep a week ago. I'm loving it so far. I had an order in for a Bronco and I have been worried about the lack of storage in those. I think the Gladiator fixes that.

Our neighbor in Lovell's daughter is at the Academy. She is on the ski team.

As a former resident of Jackman, I’m not surprised to hear they’re selling well up there. I wish I had one back then. Would’ve made my never ending search for remote, wild brook trout streams that much easier.

They are very popular here where I’ve retired to in the desert southwest also. Most capable Offroad truck in existence. . .

Maine is definitely the reason I got the rig I did. I probably have an irrational fear of snow having spent most of my life in FL. We are planning to retire in Lovell and hope to spend a lot more time there starting next year.
Are you involved in any of the ME Jeep clubs that do the trail rides together? That looks like a fun thing to do.

No, but a ton of people do the Bethel Jamboree though. There is a jeep junkyard over there too, that always had decent pickins back when I was building my CJ7.

We used to bird hunt the golden road up that way(Jackman). Our camp is in the Bingham/Solon area.

You went a lot further north than we did. We hunted primarily between Errol, NH and Upton, ME. Right around an hour drive from Lovell so it worked out well to use my place as the camp. I know the hunting is supposed to be better further north though and I am looking forward to exploring it. We also tried the WMA right there in Fryeburg but we got skunked there. A Fryeburg local who used to bird hunt told me he used to have success there but we didn't see a thing with 2 dogs working.

Wilson's Mills is just East of Errol headed toward Rangely. Fish Pond Road and Lincoln Pond road both have good bird hunting. Close enough for a day trip like you're saying. We made many many trips to that area over the years. In fact, when I finished my CJ7, that was the first road trip I took in on. We got 6 birds that day.
