Ok I was aware of the commercial truck nozzles being a different size but hadn't thought those might be found outside of a truck stop. I suppose it makes sense if you're traveling in farm country where there may be more heavy equipment for farming operations
I had no idea there were diesel pumps that are different sizes. I know gas vs diesel are different size to prevent folks adding the wrong fuel. Are the pump nozzels that don't fit just an older style/size?
I'm thinking the poster wants a window to fit the side hatch but doesn't want it to slide, they want it to hing out like an awning. Tern makes similar windows (I had one in an AT Overland Summit) but they won't with the ACCC for the Gladiator. The one I know of that fits is the very expensive...
I went with the low hoop so I can later add a couple of LP6 lights to either side. I also went for the amber fogs when I purchased. Winch mounted right up no problem.
JTRD owner here in CO Springs. I went 37 Micky Baja Boss AT with a 3.5 Clayton lift, which is being installed today.
Why 37?
I've regularly heard 37 is the tallest you can go on the diesel without needing to regear. Also to help with the breakover angle...and I thought I'd want them if I went...
It's finally here! We finalized the sale last week and only have had time for minor mods (stubby antenna, screen protector) and scheduling the install for the lift/tires as well as bedliner. We did however manage to remove the rear seats after the Etorx bits arrived over the weekend.
Done. I actually made the decision a couple of weeks ago and they're sitting at my local shop waiting for the Gladiator to arrive. Still got another 2-4 weeks for that :/
99.99% of the time if I listen to music it's Spotify, so if I never listen to AM or FM then will it matter if I even have an antenna at all? Honestly I cannot remember the last time I turned on the actual radio.
Thanks. I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for and placed a deposit on a Hefty Fabworks stubby front. I know they're new but I was surprised it took me so long to find
This entire thread is not helping me sleep at night. We ordered a JTRD for long trips off the grid and already spent thousands in aftermarket parts to build out the rig. I'd really like to believe that we didn't make a bad decision, but damn if I'm not nervous after seeing so many people with...
what water tank do you have? If you have the Alu-cab version which looks rather challenging to clean I'd be looking at RV style solutions. These are usually some sort of tablet or liquid which kills anything inside and then requires a lot of flushing.
Honestly this is one reason I might stick...
I don't have my ACCC yet but I'm planning to have a small table mounted underneath the bed so it would slide out similar to the mount used by Alu-cab above the cab (which doesn't fit for us). I've seen that Goose Gear has something in the works but honestly it shouldn't be hard to fab a bracket...
